Showbots, the "next generation of carbon based robots" were an imposing
figure on the show floor. They have a gyroscopic self-balancing
drive unit, on board multimedia PC, 4 GIG storage capacity, 10.4" LCD
Monitor, 200 watt - 360 degree sound system, high intensity LED lighting
effects and integrated cooling fans. We suspect this robot is
built on top of a Segway Human Transporter as it's a "performer
operated" device. Very nice package and high WOW factor.
More
from Zamperella (who by the way has a new sharp looking logo - see next
photo) and a best new ride award for their Flying Tigers attraction.
This "whip-it" type ride is sure to please kids.
Here
you can better see the "whip action".
Once
again this year, X couldn't resist the urge to try and strike out Barry
Bonds at Power Alley Interactive's Power Pitcher attraction.
Needless to say, Sammy hit two home runs in the two attempts. You
can see more info at
www.powerpitcher.com.
