Swan & Dolphin - Food and Wine Classic

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is proud to showcase their passion for food and beverage by holding the First Annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic October 8 and 9, 2010. Conveniently taking place during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival (Oct. 1 – Nov. 14) and located just a short walk from Epcot®, the event offers foodies the ideal opportunity to continue their culinary experience after enjoying the festivities at Epcot®.  Save the date and prepare your palate for a taste of diversity and culinary brilliance by delving into one of the six seminars offered by food and beverage experts.  One and two night packages are available starting at $169 per night and include a beverage seminar for two plus unlimited food and beverage samplings. Advance purchase event-only tickets are available for $50 and include one seminar and unlimited food and beverage samples on the causeway.

Annual Passholder Resort Discounts Released

Fall Annual Passholder discounts have been released and are valid for the following dates: 10/3/10-11/23/10 and 11/27/10-12/25/10.  Resort discounts include 30% off at Values and Animal Kingdom Lodge, 35% off at Moderates and Grand Floridian and 42% off at Deluxe and Deluxe Villas.

2011 Packages and AAA rates Released

Disney has released all vacation packages for 2011 along with AAA room only rates. Also announced are the preliminary dining plan changes for next year. To name a few, Le Cellier in Canada will become a signature meal using 2 credits and for the 'counter service' breakfast option only one beverage will be offered - juice has been removed. Walt Disney World Resort - Disneyland Resort - Universal Resort - Increase Ticket Prices

Walt Disney World has increased its admission price to $82 for adults, up from $79. Children's prices will jump to $74, up $6 at the Orlando park.  Meanwhile in California, admission to Disneyland Resort will cost $76 for adults (up from $72) for a single-day, single-park ticket and $68 for children. The one-day price of a two-park pass (for Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure) will be $101. 

Universal Orlando announced Aug. 6 that it is raising its one-day, one-park admission to $82 from $79, just a day after theme park-competitor Walt Disney World raised its prices on Aug.5.  In addition, many of the park’s other ticket options have received a $5 increase, except for the two-day, park-to-park ticket, which remains unchanged at $145. The Florida resident online specials remain unchanged. All price changes are effective Aug. 7.

Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages go on Sale August 26, 2010

Candlelight Processional Dinner Package reservations go on sale August 26, 2010. A partial list of the Narrators for this year's event has been released. The list of celebrities this year include; Trace Adkins, Whoopie Goldberg, Isabella Rossellini, Brad Garrett and more. The Candlelight Processional is a joyous retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a glorious mass choir. Main Street Electrical Parade Extended

Walt Disney World announced today, the cherished entertainment spectacular Main Street Electrical Parade is being extended by popular demand. “The return of Disney’s ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ to the Magic Kingdom has been an overwhelming success,” said Magic Kingdom Vice President Phil Holmes. The parade currently anchors Disney’s multi-park “Summer Nightastic!” entertainment extravaganza of attractions and events. Once “Summer Nightastic!” draws to a close on August 14 as previously announced, Disney’s “Main Street Electrical Parade” will continue an open-ended run.

Immersive Experience at Animal Kingdom

If you’ve ever wanted to venture off the beaten path and farther into the Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition savannah, you’ll have a chance later this year. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be offering a new, immersive experience that’ll take a small group of Guests on personalized, guided treks along some unexplored areas of the Harambe Reserve.
