I am attempting to research January weather conditions. As a general rule is it a good idea to plan pool time during January or is it too cool for fun
I would'nt so much as plan on it rather, if weather permits than just alter your plans and jump on in. The weather is similar to the weather in December / February. That is, it can change from day to day. Our first day in January 2008 was cold (high of about 55 degrees). On the second day it was a high in the mid 70's. The good thing is you will not have to deal with a crowded pool.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha whoeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
I really think it depends on where you are coming from. If you are from a really cold, snowy climate you may be just content with swimming when it is cooler outside. I think it also depends on where you are staying... would it be worth it to go swimming? I would say if you are staying at Y&BC, then plan on it! It wouldn't hurt to bring suits along just in case! January could be warm or cool in FL at that time of year... hard to say what you will get!
I can handle some cool weather swimming, however, I personally wouldn't be found at a water park in January, even in Florida. March sure, January, not so much.
Last Trip: April 2015 CBR
Next Trip: Sept 2015 Boardwalk
I was at Disney in January 2007.We went swimming in the pool and spent a day at Blizzard Beach. It just depends on the weather.Hope you have a magical trip!
I'm from New England and I'm still not willing to jump into the pool when it's in the 50's or 60's out! After all, you still have to get out of the water at some point!
Weather at this time of year is variable. We always pack swim suits in the hopes that it will be warm enough to use the pools. Some times, luck is with us and we can certainly use and enjoy the pools. Other times, that swim gear never gets out of the drawer and returns home with us as dry as it arrived!
