Wow...and I thought we were harsh on our players here in NY!
Then again, you guys DID boo Santa Claus once.

When Santa makes a diving grab with an abdominal tear..I'll be first in line to give him a standing O.
Seriously, Hamels is a tough nut to crack...claims at last years' parade he wants to do it again, and again, and again...and then proceeds to banquet circuit it up in the offseason, while guys like Ryan Howard work on improving their fielding skills and dropping pounds.
I'd be willing to put that aside for a Lee-esque performance tomorrow night..pretty much know Pettite's going to bring it.
And for the record..I've booed Santa on more than one occasion..all those years of wishing and still no GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip tends to harden a man, ya know...

I feel ya.
Each of the last four Christmas mornings I've run to the tree expecting Eva Langoria in a jacuzzi with a bow wrapped around her....but alas...the Fat Man let me down again.

Hey ... we didn't boo Santa ... we threw snowballs at him! Get it straight.
And also, I'm fairly certain he was drunk.

Question from last night: What did everyone think about the rap performance with Jay-Z & Alicia Keys last night? I think the song fits New York, it's a pretty cool song, and the Yanks have played it all during the playoffs, but wouldn't "New York, New York" by Sinatra be a better family friendly choice?

Why would you want a member of the Tampa Bay Rays under your tree...especially one that cam up small in last years' WS???
Although I can relate about being let down by the fat man more than a few times, I'm an Eagles fan..

I won't comment, because personally I'd rather give birth to a porcupine that was on fire than listen to a rap song.

Agreed on the rap song. I'm not a fan of any pre-game fluff..Fox went on my TV at 7:55 pm last night, right before first pitch.

So what you saying is that Philadelphia fans only pay attention (ie. spend money and raise team revenue) on their team when they are winning.
Whereas Yankee fans always pay attention (ie. spend money and raise team revenue )on their team whether they are winning or not, hence the fact they always have money to spend.
I AGREE 100%!!!

Eh ... it's chicken and egg ... maybe the Yankees have been good for so long their revenue stream is self-sustaining at this point. There is, however, little doubt that the Phillies were awful for decades and people stopped following them.
But hey, I mean you can't expect fans to hang in forever. Although Eagles' fans do, which I don't really get but ...
