I agree that you should keep your request simple. After I have made a request, I ask if they have it on record each time I call after that. About a week before our arrival date, I call and ask if everything is good with our arrival and if our request is on file. So far, we have always gotten our requests. Good luck

There's no guarantee of any room request. Your best two shots at getting what you want are:
1.) Put your request on the reservation as faxes aren't generally read anymore due to volume
2.) Arrive early because you can request a different room if the one you are initially assigned isn't what you want

You also might confirm that what you want is possible.
For example, bunk bed or king bed rooms are only in certain places. So "standard view, king bed" may not exist. You would need to decide which is more important.
Not too sure on this one but I have heard that the best way is:
1.) Keep your requests to a minimum. Try not to request too many things.
2.) Put your requests in order of importance, listing the most important first.
3.) Fax or call the room assignor at your specific resort approx. 3 days prior to arrival (apparently this is when they'll be assigning your room).
4.) Keep your fingers crossed and ask again at check in.
Good luck!!!
I have heard this same information. However, any time I've ever made a request when I made my res., it was honored without having to call again. BUT I don't think it could hurt to try the suggestions listed above.

I think the most effective way is to have them make a note of your request on your reservation. If I have forgotten to make a request - I have called back and asked them to add it - and never have had a problem. Overall, it seems the politest and most efficient way to have your request on file.

I Agree, always note the requests on your documents. I have always made my requests when making my initial reservation, then when checking in, I just remind the person at the check in desk of my requests. I have never NOT received my requests.
