Starbucks coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort
From the Disney Parks Blog:
Today, we’re excited to officially announce plans to bring your favorite Starbucks drinks and food items to all of our theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
In June, the first of six planned Starbucks locations is scheduled to open at Disney California Adventure park. And more locations are planned at Disneyland park and Walt Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom).
The Starbucks locations inside our parks will be designed to fit the theme of their surroundings. At Disney California Adventure park, Starbucks will be located in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street, a place that transports guests to 1920s Los Angeles, when Walt Disney arrived in California and a cup of coffee was the perfect way to jumpstart a busy day. The store’s location plays off the Spanish/Mexican architecture of the period, and baristas will wear 1920s-inspired attire.
The café will serve Starbucks items, including coffee and espresso beverages, Frappuccino® blended beverages, and signature breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Guests also will have their choice of Disney favorites, including signature sandwiches and other items, as well as delicious desserts and sweet treats.
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...
TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...
BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

This is better than Nescafe, but I agree that Starbucks is generally .
I had heard about the Disneyland locations awhile back, but I'm surprised that they will be INSIDE the parks. I don't really like that...

I'm a hot tea person myself so this does nothing for me! As long as I can get hot water - I'm good - have tea bags, will travel.

Hopefully a 1/2 decent cup of coffe in the parks. I'm nota huge fan of Starbucks, but I don't mind their coffee. I usually pack enough coffee in my suitcase for the trip, it will be nice to be able to get some mid day if necessary.
We'll have to see how it's implemented though. I can't imagine what a Starbucks would look like inside Magic Kingdom or Epcot quite frankly. AK will probably make it happen with a Kiosk like most of their "fast food" offerings.
-
I love this!!! I hit up the Starbucks every time we go to Universal. If the locations are done well thematically, I have no problem with this at all.
-
I just can't imagine how a Starbucks stand can run efficiently with thousands and thousands of potential customers (all probably ordering obnoxiously complicated drinks, too!)

I actually like Starbucks' lattes and things like that, I just can't tolerate their coffee. Tastes gross and burned.

Real coffee...Yeah!!! That nescafe stuff is wretched!

I used to love our then friendly Starbucks, really I did, until the medium (sorry, Grande) push a button n dump some milk n u got a burnt beverage hit the $4.50 price point, or..or the 'make it your way' Frapp with no coffee but you can buy a shot, or pump of syrup and u get flovored ice dumped in a blender for only $5.25+. At this point, I grew up and asked Santa for my very own espresso machine.
I love the frozen latte at MK, the little places to grab coffee in DHS, AK and EPCOT and. Opting certainly beats Kona. It ads to my experience.
Remember folks, Starbucks is NOT in the coffee business, they are in the real estate business.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I am sure those who despise NesCafe will be very happy!
Now if they would only drop Coke and bring in Pepsi...

I'm wondering if this means that all the coffee (Nescafe) will be replaced with Starbucks coffee at all the restaurants... You know, something along the lines of "We proudly serve Starbucks Coffee"....
