Putting passes on room key?

We thought about buying our passes now but won't be to WDW until July 2004. Then I remembered the last time our passes for the parks were also our room key. Can anyone tell me if they will put our all ready purchased passes on the room key when we arive or will we have to carry them both? Thanks for any help!

If you purchase your tickets separately, your room keys will only be used for entry into your room and for charging purchases to your room. You will have to use your tickets to enter the parks.

Your room key is your ticket for the parks if you purchase the Ultimate Park Hopper, which allows you entrance to all of the parks for the length of your stay.

Since buying passes in advance saves you money over buying them when you get there, they won't transfer pre-purchased park hopper type passes to your room key.

Ultimate park hopper passes purchased as part of a package are discounted (the package is purchased in advance), but these tickets are still put on the room key since they are tied to your length of stay.

Thanks for the info. Last July we had a 5 day hopper and it was on our room key. So do they now only put length of stay passes on the room key?

They will put your park hoppers on your room key if you buy the passes at check-in, but you will not receive the discounted price for buying them in advance.
