Does anyone know of a cleaner or home made remedy to clean glass showers doors? We have tried what we feel like every remedy out there and nothing will clean the white water spots from our shower door.
Not sure how or if the glass in shower doors differs from window glass, but have you tried straight vinegar or CLR? Make sure to protect other finishes, especially with the CLR. I've had great luck with both. Also, once you get it clean, you might try using glass wax to protect it from future build-up.
We just use regular glass cleaner, but we apply Rain-X several times a year and squeegee after every shower. It definitely helps with spots.

It depends on what's making the water spots. Regular hard water usually comes off with vinegar, since the spots are usually calcium salts of soaps or detergents, and the acid will dissolve them. If that doesn't work, try an ammonia-based glass cleaner, which works on oil/grease type film.
Have you tried "Kaboom" shower and tube cleaner? It comes in a bright purple bottle with a shiny label and green lettering. I absolutely swear by that stuff.
Non-abrasive comet will often remove those types of spots and stains. It all depends upon what the deposit is made from. Is it a hard water stain deposit, soap, chemicals in products such as shampoo? If you can figure out what it is, science will lead you to the product to remove it.
