Party of 20
What restaurant would you recommend for a very large party of 20 people? What place could accomodate all of us at the same "table?"

Thanksgiving 2013 we had a party of 25! The following places worked well for us:
Ohana dinner - all at same table
Liberty Tree Tavern - split at 3 tables but all next to each other (was actually easier to talk with everyone this way than at one long table)
Ohana breakfast - split at two tables next to each other
Sci Fi - split among several cars
Cape May Cafe dinner - split at 3 or 4 tables all close together
Boatwright's - split at 2 tables
Be Our Guest lunch - we were able to find three big tables nearby that we sat at.
Epcot was the only place we did separate restaurants. We had trouble finding a place that was available for 25 and the one or two places that could take us we didn't want (can't remember where, Germany maybe).

We've done Ohana many times but I can't on Earth imagine getting all 20 at the same table. Hmmm

One option is to call WDW-dine and ask for group sales. They work with large groups like yours and can arrange the necessary seating when the regular ADR line cannot.

There are often times 4 large tables made up of smaller tables in the center of the restaurant. That is where we were seated. They moved enough tables together to fit us all. We have been with parties of 25,20, 15, 10, and probably a bunch inbetween and we are always seated together in that same spot for dinner. Have never been split up at ohana for dinner.
We did call dining and were given a separate number to call for large group dining. That number did what they could, but I also had to call some restaurants directly. They gave me numbers for any of the restaurant that I would need to contact directly. It was fairly easy to get it all done.

We have definitely done groups of 20+ people at the same table at 'Ohana. It's a lot of fun there. We have also done Boma at a single table and Portobello (Disney Springs). Some places we've had to divide in half, but sat close, including Sanaa (if you are willing to do first seating), Rainforest, Teppan Edo, Nine Dragons, and there's probably another one in there I'm forgetting. But if you plan it in advance and call (as suggested above), you can usually make it happen.

The best places I can think of are Biergarten and Via Napoli

At Biergarten all tables seat 8. The way the restaurant is laid out I doubt they can push tables together.

On our last trip we did a couple meals with 18 people at Mama Melrose's and San Angel Inn.
I think there are a lot of options available for a group that size though.

True but the tables are back to back so I figure you can get two next to each other. All you'd have to do is turn around to talk to "Aunt Polly" ....

Hmmm, several years ago we dined here with a party of 11 (my family of 4, DSIL family of 5, and mother and father in law) and we were all at same table. It was for my sons birthday and I remember us all at the same table. We were on the upper level with one side of the table against the railing. Its been a while so maybe the layout has changed?

I would call Disney Dining and let them help you out. We had a large party and they were able to help us out to determine what the best table layouts were for a large party. I would not do Sci Fi if you are looking for some nice conversation. We also found that T-Rex and Rainforest were too loud. Often times if you try to book over the internet the party sizes are limited. If you really want a nice group dinner I would look into places that are less in demand.
Too many trips to count!
