So Day 3 began with a nice sleep in as MK is really just a surprising quick walk away from the Contemporary. We had 9am reservations to CRT and headed through the park in its surprisingly empty state before regular open. The breakfast itself was tasty, yet at $50 no where near worth it. The being in the castle before the park opens element is nice and the princess interaction is nice but a little better in Norway with a better selection of food options and it is all you care to enjoy there. We had the quiche and the lobster dish for breakfast it was good not awe inspiring or anything. The breakfast pastries are like any other Disney place buffet or not. As noted in other spots, there is no mention by the cast member or on the receipt that gratuity is included and with how they try to blaze through your experience I doubt you'd want to.
Magic Kingdom was fairly busy Splash was down early so our FP got bumped back to either when it opened which it did and we used it later in the day or you could use it on basically anything but the Mine Train. No noteable experiences in the Park really the dole whips don't have swirls anymore and are not available at Sunshine Terrace but over by the Tiki room. Did not notice any difference on pirates except the logistical route of the queue change a bit.
We got through many of the headliners saving some of the more hidden favs for our 2nd time at MK later in the week. We had lunch reservations at Grand Floridan Cafe which is one my fav lunch spots. The GF burger changed its name to the surf and turf burger but it's still the same and just as delicious. The tomato/onion/shrimp appetizer was one if the surprising highlights food wise so far on the trip. Desserts were again nothing to write home about and worth skipping.
We went to play some mini golf before dinner and the 18 plays fairly quickly with no one in front of you and the courses are fun at the Fantasia spot. Unfortunately, their staff was not trained on the packages as unlimited mini golf is included and I showed them on the website but they couldn't pull it off on that equipment I guess and really gave us the run around before just letting us play.
We returned, showered and changed before heading up to Californis grille. We ended up sitting in the back room facing Baylake. It's a different perspective and nice since our room faces MK/7 seas anyway. She is big into sushi so this a great spot to get some, she really enjoyed it and my salad had a very tasty garlic dressing. We both tried the Buffalo strip loin. It was extremely tender and cooked well with lots of flavor. The Apple/date cake and accompanied ice cream was awesome and the banana fritters were also better than most of the desserts offered at other places. It's a bummer as I never eat dessert and hate eating the extra calories when it's not something extra spectacular,
After dinner we treked over to DHS for Fantasmic, awesome show as always even though we were the first two that were deemed for standing room only which was kind of a bummer. Still could see most of the show fairly easily. Exiting it's usual 10k people mad dash sardine can but we made it out and back to the room in time to see Hallowishes from our window before quickly passing out
