My son is surely going to have a lot of trouble stepping down into and up out of the test track vehicles. I read there is another way to get on the vehicle. Does anyone have more info about this?
There is a loading area for those with special needs. You access when you leave the area where you design your car. They have an elevator that takes those with wheelchairs up to a catwalk, you cross over the track and then there is another elevator that goes back down. There are also stairs for those that do not require the elevator. They send a car over to this separate loading area, you load into the car and it is then sent back out to the track. At the end of the ride, they send you back to this area to unload.
I have not ever used this loading area, I just remember reading about it.
I did not know that....good to know. They usually have me board at the front car near the elevator. Takes me a moment getting in and out. Never been asked to use an alternate boarding area.

As I mentioned, I have never personally used it but I have read about the alternate boarding area a few times. I assume it is still there but I am not sure.
Do you happen to know why it's easier to load from that area? I'm trying to figure out if we just need to avoid this ride. It is his favorite but he isn't able to load into like he did when he was little.

The reason it is easier is because they take the car out of the regular ride line and into this separate loading area. That way, there is no rush because it is not holding up cars coming in behind. You load up and when finished your car enters back into the ride line. After the ride, you come back into this area to unload without being rushed.
