    Default Dining Plan Questions

If my kids aren't 3 yet can we tell DIsney that they are 3 to get the dining plan for them? Will this cause them to have to purchase tickets?

Yes, same with adults. If kids don't eat what's on the kids menu, you can call them an adult, but then they should be treated as adults in terms of tickets. There isn't much difference in the price of child vs adult tickets, but quite a difference between admission for a child under three and over.

You take the good with the bad...

Yes, you will have to purchase tickets for them. I don't think you really need to get the dining plan for kids under 3. If you eat at any of the restaurants that have buffets, they can eat off of it for free. Other places, you can share your food from your plate. Some places even offer complimentary food, like Cinderella's Royal Table offer pasta w/ butter. Also, you could purchase them a meal.

You can always pay OOP for them to eat if you want to get them something.

We are taking our 2.5 yo in November and plan for her to either eat off our plates or order her a kids meal when needed. This will be our only trip she will be free to stay and play so we figure a meal here and there at non-buffets won't be too bad cost-wise.

You can tell Disney they are three but you would have to purchase tickets for your child as well. It's probably cheaper to buy their meals out of pocket. We did this when our son was less than three.

Our son has food allergies so meal sharing was not practical for us.
