June Trip?

All members of our family have been to WDW except one. We now have the opportunity to take a trip with the one who has not yet discovered the magic!

My concern is that the opportunity we have is the second week of June (this June...very sudden. Yipee!). In years past, we have been in October, January and early May. Each time the crowds were mostly very low. My question is will the crowds be so high in June that we don't enjoy ourselves enough? Especially taking someone who it's all new to?

The weather isn't a concern. We live on the gulf coast and are accustomed to the heat and humidity. My only concern is the crowd. Any thoughts?

We are going again this second week of June. It will be our second time in June.

We hit the parks early at opening and use fastpasses. I don't recall it being miserably crowded.

Getting there first thing in the morning is CRUCIAL! Get there at least 30 min to 1 hour before the park you're visiting opens for the day. As mentioned above, utilize the Fastpass system to it's full potential.

Watch your return times carefully and maybe have a runner to aquire Fastpasses for your group when you are able to aquire a new one.

In really crowded months, the heat, early arrival and crowds can get you tired quickly... so if you have time and you are able, head back to your room for a little break/nap and return later in the day. I tend to go from open till close daily but I realize not everyone can do that.

From my experience, the crowds begin to build around Memorial Day and peak in July. So it will certainly be more crowded than early May. But with a little planning, early arrivals to the parks, and mid-day pool breaks, you should be fine.

I love Disney in June. I've been in June more than any other month !! You know the heat, so you know how to prepare for that. The crowds are big !!! NO LIE !!! However, since you've been multiple times, you know how to work the park to your advantage, how the FP's work, you know the short cuts, direct routes to where you want to go, so with your knowledge you will make their trip great !! Since the parks get so crazy, we nearly always go back to the resort for the afternoon to swim, relax, maybe nap, then hit the parks again later in the day. It works for us and has for years !! have fun !!
