    Default Fun Thread...

It is interesting to see what "gets" to people.

Personally, I will do RnRC, ToT, SM, MS a dozen times rather than get in those blasted tea cups.

Also...it will take an extraordinary situation to get me to go to WDW in August again.
Just too hot and humid to be enjoyable for me.
35+ trips to WDW since 1985...and it never gets old.

I will never ride on Summit Plummet again (40). It felt like I was being wacked by a 2x4 all the way down and wedgie like you wouldn't believe. The things we do to please our kids.

I may have a few more after this next trip. I am keeping my fingers crossed though. The last couple of times to Disney I noticed each time rides like Sorin' really made me ill. Realizing your getting older is a bummer, almost 49.

My DW is like you... however during the year of a million dreams we were awared free fast pass's to all of the rides that have that system, and ToT was one of those rides. So I finally convience here to go on. I also convienced my mother in law to go on too.

I have the picture of the expeirence to date of the two of them scared out of there minds and of course just to be myself, I had to force myself to be scared for the picture. Normally I have some wacky goofy face on. The ride is total fun.

To make this post even more weird, I actually have a phobia of being on elevators, I hate them and will use the stairs when I can. But not ToT, that ride dont scare me one bit.

I never liked (and am disappointed that Disney brought it back) was the Michael Jackson thing. Just creepy to me. And no I will not be seeing that on our up coming trip.

So finally during our most recent trip in August I decided it was go time! It was extra magic hours in the evening - I had no excuse. Let me just say the hotel lobby and whole queue line experience was cool - but that ride was sheer hell. I screamed and cried the entire ride and came off crying my eyes out. I was trying to hold myself down and gripping the bars so hard my hands were numb after. Now don't get me wrong I like big thunder, test track and some fast rides (I'm 26 years old and by no means a girl that scares easily) but WOW. That ride was traumatizing! In line I asked a woman probably around 40 years old with her small daughter if this was an intense ride she said its not even bad as air plane turbulence. ARE YOU KIDDING? Everyone else in my party assured me it was an easy, almost disappointing experience. I now have trust issues with said people lol

Are there any rides or things at WDW you will never EVER do again?

You couldn't get me on tower of terror again for a million dollars!

Your post cracks me up because I dislike ToT ALOT but my Mom loves it so I ride it with her, she doesn't like RnRC but I love it so she rides it with me. The only ride I'd prob never do again is Primeval Hurl....Just nooooo thank you. Didn't like it even the one time we rode it, I feel like it was the crick-in-the-neck-o-whirl

I don't think there is anything I won't do again...but there is something I will never do and that is Mission Space, either version! I see the faces of some people coming off the ride , and that is enough for me!

Haha, this made me laugh a lot! Congrats, I'd love to get married there!

I'm going to have to go with Dinosaur on this one. It's not that I WON'T ride it, but I will close my eyes and hold my breath the whole time. When I was 14, we went and the picture is of me in the earthquake pose (head in my knees with my hands covering my ears). We went back this summer and had to buy the picture again because I am doing the exact same thing. It's the most stressful ride in WDW.

Mission Space, the intense side. Love the ride, but the way I feel when I get off of it makes me miserable the rest of the day. If this is what space travel is really like, then when the day comes to evacuate the earth, I'll just stay behind.

TOT is kind of scary while you anticipate the drops but once the drops happen, Im fine.

On my retired list: Universe of Energy (too long boring, and I dont find Ellen funny), teacups with people who love to spin, Captain EO (too dated), and Mission Space Orange Line again (makes me too nauseous)

I can't stand Astro Orbiter... I feel like I"m going to fall out. That ride absolutely terrifies me. The fact that it seems to tilt sideways drives me crazy!

We aren't fans of tower of terror - me and my kids, anyway - husband loves it and wishes someone would go on it with him. It makes me want to barf and my kids who are normally daredevils just don't like it.

I also really did not like Dinosaur. Too rough, too loud. Other than that, I can't think of anything. I have yet to ride Rock n Roller Coaster and Primeval Whirl b/c my little one is still too short. However, I do think those rides will be ones I just send their dad on with them!

Motion sickness-wise - for some reason, I can only do a roller coaster once a day (even space/splash mountain). But I can do Teacups just fine. Astro Orbitor - not fan, but my son loves it so I usually end up riding with him while my husband takes the older one on bigger rides.

LOL! While I do like that movie b/c of the characters, I have to agree with the comments about Disney lecturing about how we're all destroying the earth.

Agree on Captain EO - that was very disappointing. Wish Disney would do something else with that space.

    I'm done with the following:

Dinosaur (Ok, it scares me. A lot.)

Country Bears (last time I saw this I was about 8 years old. I hated every second of it and have never been back)

Tom Sawyer Island (BO-ring, and a huge waste of time, IMO)

Matterhorn at Disneyland (it's a headache waiting to happen for me, every time, and I realized last time I rode it, I don't even LIKE it.)

    Value Resorts. Done. Done. DONE.

As for the thrill rides, I love them all, and I hope I never get to the point where I can't ride them anymore because I would be really sad about that.

I'm going to throw something from Disneyland into this. I will more than likely never again ride Mickey's Fun Wheel in a "free mounted" gondola at California Adventure. The entire time I felt like I was going to die, really. I did not enjoy it and neither did my wife (we were on our honeymoon). I also felt a little nauseous after we got off the ride. Maybe you'd eventually be able to convince me to ride it in a "traditional mounted" gondola, but don't hold your breath.

They should just change the name of the ride to Mickey's Swinging Gondolas of Death. Really.
