well maybe the crowds just follow me and my dw, because no matter what time of year that we go the parks are jammed. let me say this for the 1st time in years we couldn't get on spaceship earth, soarin or test track and this is going back to a trip in March and a trip this June, the lines were wrapped around spaceship earth and the fastpasses were all sold out by the time we got to the fastpass and that was around 1030 am, i kid you not. we'll be going again in sept for 2 days b4 we embark on our Disney Fantasy Cruise, so we'll see how it is then, oh on a side note we had to wait in a ropped off area b4 you get on the monorail to Magic Kingdom so nah no crowd problems 4 us lol

    just my 2 cents

We are going late November - early December, we had a pin code for free dining before it was open to the public. We were hoping for low crowds, and a mostly open new Fantasyland, plus the usual Christmas decor up by then.

Yep, on second thought I bet it will be crowded...

We'll be in the world tomorrow.

We usually visit the last week of August and have never had issues with crowds. I'm hoping from what I'm reading that this trip will be the same.

The only issue we have to deal with is the heat.

    Things to consider:

    Fantasy land Expansion
    Test Track Down
    Wonders of Life (extinct)

people might be waiting for something "new"

We stayed at a hotel on Cape Cod last week for $169 a night and felt that we got ripped off. The room was nothing special and the pool area was ordinary at best. The benefits of staying at Disney can't be overlooked. The resorts are beautiful, the pools are great, and there's nothing like being right in the middle of the Magic.
True, True, but at least the beaches here on the Cape have Great White sharks this summer for entertainment.

    Not enough since then!

At the airport waiting to leave. Never been during this time before. Was expecting very large crowds. Maybe we just picked right but i thought it was very manageable. In fact our day at DHS i was wondering where everyone was.

We've always gone during the off-peak season and over the past 16 years, we have noticed the crowds gradually increasing with each passing year.

My other thought is, parents don't mind pulling their kids out of school for a week to go at a cooler, cheaper, or less crowded time.

It will be interesting to see what happens with crowds later this month. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Disney was giving bounceback offers with free dining starting Aug. 17, and free dining to everyone starting Aug. 25.

The crowds have definitely been lower this summer than any summer I've seen since we started going to the parks. With our proximity, we go pretty much weekly, and the crowds just haven't been bad at all. Of course, with that said, we were at MK tonight and it was pretty crowded. I think the next 1-2 weeks will be a little heavier as everyone tries to get that last trip in before school starts. It should thin out considerably after that if this summer is any indication.
