Blue Heron Beach Resort?

Has anybody stayed at the Blue Heron Beach Resort? The website says it is in the vicinity of DTD. Anybody have good/bad experiences there?

I haven't stayed there, but have stayed near there. It isn't far from Downtown Disney, but you'd need a car to get there. It isn't far, probably about a 10 minute drive with some traffic.

Never stayed there but there is a wonderful webcam broadcasting live from there overlooking DTD and Spaceship Earth...

It's about a mile from Downtown Disney. There is A LOT of traffic between Blue Heron and the Disney entrance (thanks to I-4).

Like previous poster said, you'll need a car, but there are tons of restaurants nearby.

We stayed there a few years back. It is very nice. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen is nice too has everything you need to cook. It isn’t to far from DTD, but you will hit day time traffic turning into Lake Buena Vista to get to DTD. That light is always crowded with cars. Due to the I4 exit. But it’s nothing you can’t handle. If it’s that bad we pass the turn and circle around and come in the other side. That’s never backed up...I would stay again it is close enough to the Magic.
