'Snakes' at Coronado Springs Pool?
I'm trying to think outside the box, and consider a different resort--haven't done this one, just never appealed to me. Was looking around though, and it doesn't look bad, but are those big snakes decorating the pool, running down the pyramid?....That would be a dealbreaker for me, looking at those things...lol. I can't see the pix too well......

With or without the snakes, the pool is pretty awesome. You'll definitely like staying at Coronado.

Spend a few hours at the bar by the pool there and the snakes start moving as well..
First trip 1986 ...
Not enough since then!

Its a very good resort, i think it gets a bad rep. I have found it to be a great place to stay. The only drawback is the long walks, but the pool is great, the Pepper market is one of the best counter services and the service is terrific.

They definitely aren't snakes! I think they're supposed to be tangled jungle vines growing on the "ancient ruins" of the pyramid, so no worries! CSR is a beautiful resort. I stayed there last October and loved everything about it!

I think the upper part is, but there are those two fanged mouth-looking things, and now I have it in my head that they are snakes, which will not have me relaxed and tranquil at the pool, lol.

We'll be staying at CSR for the first time in about 5 weeks. I'm not sure if it's snakes but I think the pictures overall look like the resort is beautiful. If the snakes aren't relaxing to you maybe you could try one of the "quiet" pools there.
-
The resort does look beautiful, and I guess I just never have really looked at it much. I dismissed it at some point thinking, "I don't like the SW look", but I was surprised at how pretty the rooms are. Maybe another trip when I am not planning on a lot of pool time.

My mom has always told me "If you're having trepidation beforehand its then that you should fix the situation." I'd swap resorts to save yourself the stress, no need for that on vacay.

Yes, we hadn't booked it: I was just considering. I have a snake phobia, and we just had an episode here where one kept crawling in and out of the weephole 'into' my house, right where the grandprincess and I walk to my vehicle. DH assured me it couldn't get into the actual house, just behind the brick, but I was a wreck. He killed it as it slid up in there the last time. Too much!

I love, love, love CSR, and have spent many hours at that pool. It never even occurred to me that there were snakes on the pyramid.
If it's such an issue, just go to one of the quiet pools.
-
Whats funny to me is that after reading this I want to stay there now!! I love snakes personally and think that pool sounds kinda awesome now lol Takes all kinds I suppose.

We stayed there once and I don't remember thinking those things at the pool looked like snakes.
However, we were once at POR and there was an actual snake in the pool. My kids had just entered the pool when there was somewhat of a commotion. Sure enough there was a snake in the pool with guests. The CM calmly took the snake out with some sort of long stick, and all was good!

Oh, goodness! But from what I see on another post, that experience can happen at ANY place in the Magic!

What about the sea monster at POFQ?
Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!
