Any info on the amount of the $$ increases? I remember seeing some of the increases to Disney Land passes were fairly substantial so I'm curious to see how big they are for passes at the World.

There was no mention to the exact price but speculation was an increase of a daily pass of approx $89 or $90 per adult. A 3 or 4 dollar increase.

The Disney Park Blog just mentioned this too and posted a link to the new prices.

It's funny I was just at the parks on Wednesday renewing my daughter's pass and discussed upgrading my pass to an standard annual instead of a seasonal. I had planned to do it in July, but they recommended I do it then. I'm glad I took their advice.

Hmmm well, the "old" 8 day park hopper & water for 4 adults was $1640.12. The "new" price is $1,606 for 4 adults. I guess I like the increase

To add park hopper and water was $110, new price is $79. Buy more, save more?

Default Does this apply to our trip

We have a trip booked for October 2012, staying at Art of Animation. This was booked back in March or April, well before the park pass increase was announced. We have paid the $200 down payment, but have until September to pay the rest of the balance due, so we are waiting a couple months before paying this.

Here's my question in regards to the new park pass pricing...are the price of tickets booked with our package locked in with the old ticket pricing? Or will our trip's amount due be increased June 3 by the cost of the new ticket prices?

Sorry to get so technical. One other question, if I apply a discount code in the future (should Disney make one available for October stays), does this set up a "new" reservation for us that would include the increased ticket cost, or would our ticket cost stay the same as the ticket price on the day we first set up a reservation.

Basically, i'm deciding, do I want to pay off the rest of the trip before the June 3 in order to save a couple hundred dollars? And if I do pay off the trip now, and then we later apply an October discount code, would Disney refund that overpayment amount back?

Sorry so confusing! Never run into timing like this before.
    Thanks for anyone's help!

Am I reading this right, the AP price is going from $519 (plus tax) to $574 (plus tax)?

Welp I've been waffling between reserving a package for our (fingers crossed) December trip with the not so hot pin I currently have....an extra $100 in ticket costs is enough to make me book tonight.

The newly released prices on the disney parks blog do not include tax and the current prices if you try to buy one from the disney website do include taxes correct? If I got any of this wrong, someone let me know, but here's the numbers that I think are correct for Florida Residents.

    Premium AP
    Before: $542.09
    Now: $559.00 + 6.5% sales tax = $595.33
    9.8% increase

    Annual Pass
    Before: $414.29
    Now: $425.00 + 6.5% sales tax = $452.62
    9.2% increase

    Seasonal Pass
    Before: $286.49
    Now: $299.00 + 6.5% sales tax = $318.43
    11.1% increase

Yowza Disney, ~10% increases in this economy?

    Default package prices

we booked a package with Magical Journeys months ago and have not paid the full amount yet. I asked if the package price would increase if it was not paid in full before the ticket price increase and I was told that the package price would not increase.

Just got back from the Disney Store Was waffling on buying the AP but Disney called my bluff! Which means that the top-secret November trip I was planning will really be happening now LOL

I paid $1105 for 2 APs (plus the cost of one Perry the Platypus Vinylmation LOL), which is $519 per, plus tax. If I'm reading the increase post correctly, on Sunday the price goes up to $574 per, plus tax.

Question: am I supposed to do anything with the vouchers now? I know that I activate them when I get to WDW (which won't be until August), but I also see that I can register them online--does this affect the activation date, is this something I should do or avoid?

    Sorry to hijack the thread.

The way things are going, it will only be a couple of more years before ticket prices hit the $100 mark.
My wife and I still have four days left on our unexpired park tickets and we may never buy them again.
It's getting to the point where we like spending time at the resorts, pool hopping with our DVC membership, and visiting Downtown Disney more than going to the parks.
I'm just glad they haven't started charging for admission to DTD. That would be a real shame.
So, until next year, enjoy the ticket price increases everybody!

Got my tickets through Undercover Tourist. It's fun planning a last minute trip. As of now, the only thing I need to pay for is our rental car. It's a very nice feeling.

How far in advance can you buy tickets? We're going in December and have never bought tickets ahead of time. We just always by them at the resort and they put the "tickets" on our hotel keys. How does it work if you pre-purchase?

You can book tickets as far in advance as you want. You can buy them now, and have them added to your room key, or just use them as is.

    A) 100 years. Of course that far ahead would be silly, but seriously, if you know the number of days you're going to need you can buy them years in advance.

    B) Do you already have your room booked? If so, just give Disney a call and tell them you want to purchase and pay for your tickets now and have them added to your room key. Otherwise, you should be able to buy them now and transfer to your room key at the resort. I'm not 100% positive of that last statement, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe they can do that for you.

My wife just booked us for next May tonight, paying for one night's stay and our tickets. Saved us approximately $100. We'll adjust the room amount down to AAA rate once the room rates come out in August.

You read it right... The price of an annual pass, plus tax, will be $615 or there abouts...

BTW, there is no longer a child discount either... Every AP is the same exact price...

If you have a package booked already, you are locked in. If a discount is released and applied to your reservation, you are still locked into the original ticket price. The only way that would change is if you completely cancel your reservation and book a new reservation on or after 6/3.
You do not have to pay off the trips you currently have booked, by 6/3.
    I hope that helps

That is absolutely outrageous. If this is accurate, we're done. I've bought my last AP's and made my last trip to WDW.

This means that, even with our $100 DVC discount, it would cost us a staggering $3,090 to buy AP's for my family of six.

I could take a weeklong cruise for that much and that's just the park passes. I'm out.
