Travel Beds For Toddlers
Any thoughts on a good travel bed for a petite almost three year old? Something that does not take up a lot of room would be nice.

We still use the pack and play for our petite almost 3 year old. Or we just push a bed against a wall so there is less of a chance of him falling off and let him sleep in that.

Oh yes! We had one for our kids -- we didn't bring it to Florida but rather used it on trips to Grandma's house. Do a google search for "One Step Ahead My Cot". It is a low-to-the ground, fold up travel cot for kids, similar to the ones you might find at daycares. It comes with a fitted sheet (just to make washing a bit easier) but the cot itself can be wiped down with a wet rag if need be. We just brought a sleeping bag instead of sheets & blankets to make things easier.
It supports up to 100lbs so it'll last them quite a while! And my kids never mentioned that it's uncomfortable or anything. I liked that it folds up into a little bag, similar to a camping chair.
I think we paid around $40 but that was 5+ years ago so I don't know what they charge for it now.

We have a bed for my niece. It's a brand called the shrunks. It's inflatable and has small rails (also inflatable) to keep her in. She loves it!

Does anyone else think it's weird that this thread was moved to the nightlife and water parks section? I think it belonged in the vac planning myself!
Next trip - Sep29-Oct4! Free QS dining at POP. First trip with both kids. (6th total visit)

Yes I was wondering why it was moved myself. Maybe because it involves shopping? I guess I should have been more specific. We are looking for a travel bed to use when we go to WDW. We wanted something that would fit in our room and would not take up a lot of luggage space.

My friend used for each of her toddlers what looked like a small pop up tent that had an airmattress built in. It collapsed so it traveled small. They were able to be zipped in so they couldn't fall out and they didn't take up much room. I'm not sure who the manufacturer is.

Been to WDW more times than I can count since 1972. Stayed at BLT, AKV, WLV, SSR, POP, CBR, CR, FW Cabins, all the All Stars and also off site. Been to DL 3 times, 4 cruises on the Magic and went on the Dream Inaugural Cruise.

Travel Bed for Toddlers
I agree with Buttercup that the "One Step Ahead My Cot" is the way to go. We have used it the past two years for our 3 year old. It folds up like a camping chair and easily fits into a suitcase.
Look for it on Amazon. I think we paid $30 for it on sale.
Good luck.

This is what we have. My daughter loves it. However, she was 2.5 when we went to Disney last may and she just slept in the bed with her brother. We asked the CR for bed rails and used them. There was no problem and she felt like such a big girl.

We still used the pack n play on our last trip. If you stay on property you can even request one for your room. Or you can have them sleep in a bed and request bed rails.

Do the resorts, specifically YC, offer bed rails? I have a 3y old that is a very active sleeper.

Yes. All resorts have bed rails. Just call housekeeping when you arrive in room and they will bring them up for you.
