Tomorrow Land Transit (WEDWAY People Mover)
Sorry about that WWPM, I'm old school!
Is it possible for DW to transfer from wheelchair that I push to ride Tomorrowland Transit Authority? She can take a few steps (MS) after she's up with my assistance.
Is the ONLY way up to the ride vehicle the escalator or is there an elevator somewhere?
I think I already know the answer, but was hoping DISNEY has made the necessary accommodations.
TTA was always one of her chill-out rides where she could at least SEE the inside of Space Mountain since she can no longer ride SM, along with a peaceful ride above Tomorrowland!

When I was there in April I just left my scooter by the entrance. There is a moving ramp up and back down. No stairs. It is a very short walk to the ride vehicle and the same when getting off. I just went to where they park the wheelchairs, scooters and strollers to the right of the down ramp to get my scooter. At that time there were no elevators, just the moving ramp.

There are no elevators. You would have to leave the wheelchair at the bottom and ride the moving walkway / ramp to the top where she would have to walk about 10 - 12 feet to and from the ride cars. I hope she can make it. I love the TTA!

I was on it when they slowed the moving walkway to let a really old lady get into the car. They are preyty on top of that. However they can't slow down the escalator so if the slow person in the front doesn't move quick enough you start seeing people jam up and bump into each other because there is no place for them to step to the side. Good luck!!!

The major concern is stepping off the moving conveyors. It does take cooridination and balance. My mom wants to ride it so bad. But, unless I can get another person to help me then I don't feel it would be safe to attempt it with her.

My mom is wheelchair bound and can't transfer out of her power chair (also has MS). She isn't able to ride this any longer. However, over the last couple of years, there have been more rides that she is able to get on without transferring. The coolest one is the Jungle Cruise - which I never thought she would be able to do. This was always her favorite ride so it was so cool that she could do it.
Hopefully your wife will find many other rides to keep her happy. Enjoy your trip!
