We need a room close to check in and bus stop. DH has difficulty walking long distances. This will be our first time at this resort. Thank you

It will be a long walk no matter where you stay. The best thing to do is get a room near a bus stop. This way, you can always hop a bus to the lobby. Other than that, you will have a significant walk for a person with a walking issue.
1 Week at Wyndham Bonnet Creek 06/17/17 - 06/24/17; 1 Week at Orange Lake Resort 06/24/17 - 06/30/17; 1 week at OKW 12/03/17 - 12/10/17
Beautiful resort but very, very large. The best pool area in Disney but we ended up in the Ranchos area and needed a train to get to the lobby.I said that I would never go back there but the pool area is so nice that we kinda changed our minds and may return.
We just got back from Casistas 3. It was a preferred room and relatively close to bus stop 2. The next building would be closer to the bus stop. The Lobby and pool were a ways away, but the overall balance for me would favor bus stop 2. We were there a lot and at the food court 1x day. Just remember that bus 2 is 1st pick up and 1 is last. The resort is very large. We usually stay at POP and the walks were a little longer, but much nicer in landscaping at Coranado Springs.

our favorite spot is cabanas 9b being it's very close to bus stop 1 and not far from main building (check-in/check-out, food & gift shop). not a bad walk to and from main pool and close to quiet pool as well. we had room 9545 (king bed) on first floor and it was perfect being my dh has bad back and legs. hopefully this helps.

On our stay we had a cabana and the shortest walk to busstop&pool but to the main house was a bit long;so long we didn't even buy a refillable mugstill was a pretty place to stay

We've stayed at Cabanas & Casitas. We felt like Cabanas was much more convenient to transportation, but we were right next to the main building at Casitas. (Cabanas is quite a ways away.) Everything else seemed pretty inconveniently located from Casitas (pools, parking, laundry, etc.). If I were staying there again, I would only stay in Cabanas (preferably 8B, right next to one of the 'quiet' pools and laundry). Beautiful resort, but we found that it was quite noisy (there was a convention going on) when we stayed in Casitas and the back entrance to the main building was always mobbed with smokers standing just outside the doors during the day - I guess when the convention folks took breaks. We actually were offered rides to El Centro by CMs driving golf carts quite a few times when walking from Cabanas, which saved us some steps. Have a great trip!!
