Smile Akershus Character line up and interaction

I am wondering if the character line up and interaction at Akershus for lunch is the same as breakfast. Considering taking my 4yr old to breakfast at the castle and maybe a lunch at Akershus. I suppose lil girls would dress in their costumes at Akershus as well as the castle. Any advice would be great.

When we went the princesses didn't line up, they visited each table individually. You'll definitely see girls wearing their princess dresses.

The only thing I would advise is to check out the menu for lunch. We went for dinner and hated it - we couldn't find anything we wanted to eat. We're adventurous eaters but from what I remember there wasn't much beyond cold cuts and herring type dishes. We really felt like it was a waste of money as far as the dinner went - we basically ate nothing. If I did it again I would check out the breakfast menu and possibly do that instead.

Ha ha. She meant "line up" as in which members of the group - not people physically standing in a row.

I think you'll see the same characters no matter what time of day it is. But it does vary day to day. You can usually count on Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc.

I also didn't think much of the food at dinner.

Yes, the line up is basically the same. One big difference is that you get the nice picture with Cinderella at the castle but at Akershus, the "nice" picture is with Belle in her yellow ball gown. But for the most part, the other princesses that visit the tables are basically the same.

As far as the food goes, we have never done breakfast there because we have not heard the best of reports on that. We have, however, done lunch and dinner. We have always found something we liked. Plus, you get the "Taste of Norway" salad bar which includes pasta salads, salami, Norwegian cheeses, smoked salmon, cream cheese, and peel and eat shrimp. For this reason, I think it's a much better value than CRT (which is 2 table service credits on the dining plan, with no salad bar). Check out the menus here.

BTW....the dessert plate is yummy! We never leave there hungry!

    ENJOY!

We see a range of Sleeping Beauty, Cindy, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine. Sometimes Mulan or Mary Poppins will be there. I would also avoid lunch and dinner as we found very little to eat but absolutely LOVE the breakfast!!

It typically starts with a check in at the front podium, a bit of a wait, not bad, then your escorted inside to meet and take pics w/ one of the princesses. Usually Belle then your seated, food arrives and the princesses come around to each table for a few minutes to interact and take pics, sign books, etc. It is one of our favorite meals and if you can do it, have her dress up, they really make a big deal out of their dresses

We did breakfast because I didn't see anything appetizing on the lunch/dinner menu & DH is a picky eater.

DD dressed up at both CRT & Akershus. We saw the exact same line up of princesses at both places, but it didn't bother DD. If you want specific princesses, you never know until you get there.

Character interaction was good at Akershus, but not as good as CRT. However, that could just be my perception: We did CRT on Sunday morning & Akershus on Friday morning. I was tired & the magic was probably wearing off a little by then!
