We go to Downtown Disney the day we get to Disney every year. I'd suggest going to ALL the shops, while it may be some of the same stuff in each, I like just looking at all decorations and how the shops are set up and themed. We've gone back second times on trips because we saw something we wanted, assumed we could find it in the parks, and couldn't find it. I'd suggest te Lego store, too! On our last trip we ate at T-Rex, and it was really cool. I'd suggest that, Rain Forest Cafe, or Planet Hollywood.

We always make some time for Downtown Disney when we go to the world. The wives love strolling the shops, hitting the pin trading station to fill in the gaps, and taking the little ones for a sundae and a ride on the little amusemnt rides. Plus the Lego store is my 11 years old's favorite thing in all of Disney (and you can imagine how much he is looking forward ton the remodel when we go next month).

As for me, nothing better than the victory tour - start with an ice cold beer at House of Blues while listening to some music, sat walking to the other end, stopping at Paradiso for a frozen cocktail, grab a cigar at the Sosa store, stop at Raglan Road for a black and tan (and some Celtic reels), and then stop at the Sosa Cigar Lounge to smoke your stogie and wait for the family to finish shopping.

    Good times !

House of Blues or Planet Hollywood for food

Raglan Road, the Tonsil Tickler Bar or the Hole in the Wall pub for drinks

    World of Disney for shopping

Wetzel's Pretzels for snacks and smoothies

AMC 24 for movies - HIGHLY recommend the Fork and Spoon dine in theater
DD is headed back this summer for a 2nd tour as a CP Intern!
Time to renew our annual passes.

On the water near Cap'n Jacks. Its not a walk in - sit down bar. It's a walk up window....but there are tables and chairs there if you want to sit.

Quite a few people here on Intercot go to Downtown Disney on either their arrival or departure day (when they don't want to spend extra money on what is a half day). I went to T-Rex the last time and really enjoyed myself.

I also love getting a sundae at Ghirardelli's...although the salted caramel hot chocolate almost sent me to Nirvana! I lost the power of speech for several minutes.

I also love to walk all the way down past Planet Hollywood and The House of Blues at night. So much activity and excitement. But I may be alone on this one.

All these places are great, we also enjoy going to the Team Mickey store to watch them hand make baseball bats. My son really enjoyed this!

We love DTD as well, and I have to agree with the previous post...Wolfgang Puck EXPRESS is a great place with lots of food for the money! It was recommended to us the first time we used the Dining Plan. It counts as a table service and the food is more than enough for a full meal~ Who can resist walking around the huge World of Disney store....love the Pantry...ahhh, can't wait. We'll be there in 7 days!

We always go to DTD on our arrival day. We visit most of the shops in the marketplace. We spend most of the time in Art of Disney, Pin Traders, & World of Disney & enjoy a treat from Goofy's Candy Co.
We skip over PI & go straight to the west side. We usually stop in the magic store first then head over to Wolfgang Puck Cafe' for dinner.
After dinner we take our time visiting all the shops on the west side before hitting PI for a drink or two. Occasionally there might be some street performers that grab our attention but that's rare.
After drinks we go back to the west side to visit more shops & definitely grab something from the candy cauldron to bring back to our room.
Depending on the weather we fit in a ride on Characters in Flight somewhere along the way.

As of our last trip- we always make a stop at World of Disney, but Trend-D is becoming a new favorite of mine too. Love Ghirardelli, T-Rex, Puck's Express, oh who am I kidding - we love the food period. Still love Days of Christmas and Wonderful World of Memories too!

    The Christmas Store.
Sosa's Cigars. Get a stick rolled in WDW. Not a great smoke, but unique.
