Best Beverages in Epcot
My MIL will be joining us for a bit during our September visit to WDW (We'll be staying for 10 days, she'll be there for 4) so we have a build in babysitter for a much needed 'date night'.
My question is; we've decided to 'tour' Epcot for the evening without the children and enjoy some adult beverages - what are the best beverages in each 'country' of Epcot? Not saying we'll have one in each country (also not saying we won't) but just wanted to have some ideas to start with. Thanks!

One of the best things I learned during my college program was to NOT buy the pre-blended margaritas from the quick service stand outside--make the trip into the pavilion where La Cava del Tequila is located. Seriously, it's one of the best kept secrets! The bartenders are super friendly (Francisco was my favorite!) and can make great recommendations. Same price for a strawberry frozen margarita as the outside place, but a lot more "bang" for your buck.
Also- you can't go wrong with a Snakebite (half Stella half cider) in the UK paviliion, or an orange Grey Goose slush in France. Epcot was definitely my favorite place to hang out with friends on our days off!

Drinking Around the World Showcase is one of our favorite adult activities!
My wife and I enjoy a Drink Around the World Showcase (DAWS) excursion on pretty much every trip (in fact, we enjoy it so much that we created a small business that sells personalized passports to use while you Drink Around the World Showcase - you have them signed in each country as you travel through the various pavilions. Our goal is to help pay for our next trip to Disney World!)
We would concur with many of the previous posters regarding favorites (it almost sounds like some of them have pursued this past time as well! You will be surprised at how many other guests you will meet that are enjoying their own DAWS excursion!)
*We usually start in Mexico. I definitely agree that you should go to La Cava del Tequila for a margarita - there are so many unique choices and the atmosphere is great for relaxing and chatting with other guests;
* In Norway, it is difficult to get a mixed drink unless you have reservations for Akershus - the good news is that the beer is pretty tasty here;
* We don't particularly like the Chinese beers, but have had some fun adult teas at the Joy of Tea stand;
* Germany's beers are famous, and I am usually ready for a bratwurst about now;
* Yum - Italy has a delicious Limoncello and we also really like their beer;
* The United States offers mundane choices - Budweiser or Sam Adams;
* Morocco has our favorite beer, and also Pina Coladas and Daquiris (are these Moroccan specialties?!);
* We don't really like the Japanese beers, and while we don't really enjoy the taste of sake, it is kinda fun to do a sake tasting;
* France has absolutely delicious Grey Goose smoothies - yummy!
* We like hanging out for awhile in the UK pub. There are many well-known beers available from this part of the world;
* In Canada, unless you are eating at Le Cellier, you are pretty much having a beer.
One suggestion - while my wife and I have each completed the excursion, as we are getting older we find that it is even more fun to share a beverage in each country. We are more able to enjoy the beverages, we don't get as full (allowing for some snacking), and we can double-up on the ones we LOVE...
Oh, and our deluxe guide (you can get from our website) has a review of the bathrooms around the World Showcase (when you are imbibing, it is good to know which bathrooms are conveniently located!) as well as the various beverages available in every country.
Have ever so much fun!! Our next DAWS excursion is Thanksgiving weekend!

Drinks in Epcot
Our favorite by far is the Sultan Colada in Morocco. They top it off with a float of Frangelico (hazelnut liquer). Absolutely awesome!!!
Can't wait to get another one in November.

my husband only drinks about 4 beers a year and has never like cocktails, but we discovered in the china pavillion a green tea and plum wine slushy that we both love. very refreshing, and quite sweet so you dont feel the alcohol at first, but then it sneaks up on you
its been a gateway cocktail for dh and he's now branching out to try some other drinks

I have to agree with the margaritas in La Cava del Tequila in Mexico. I really enjoyed both the passion fruit margarita, as well as the blood orange one.
Sometimes we just, like Scar, enjoy having a beer in every country. While we are drinking around the world showcase, we like taking a picture in each country with the beer (most of the stands will let you take a picture holding the actual bottle, as long as you give it back - though many of the beers are draft), while also wearing a hat from the country. Great memories!
I must know - what is a "Golden"?

I love the avocado margaritas (and I never drink them either, except when at Epcot.) from La Cava, but that sounds like one I will definitely have to try in August.
