We were at WDW a few years ago during this time. The weather was great & we thought the crowds were very manageable

My fav time to be there, the crowds have gotten heavier over the years, but still very managable and the weather is great! Enjoy!

We have found the weather is much less hot and humid than summer, but it's usually still plenty warm enough to wear shorts and also to swim and enjoy the water parks.

Dec 2014 POFQ for Christmas!
We were there Halloween week in 2006 and any slight increase in the crowds was worth all the effort Disney puts into Halloween. The theming and decorations were everywhere, but it was never to much and the MNSSHP was so much fun. We will be there again this year.

Went this same week in 2009 for DD 7th bday.
It has been my favorite time of year there yet.
We did MNSSHP on the 29th & it was manageable. I wouldn't do Halloween nite. We caught the boat @MK the 31st for GF and the crowds were high. The weather and atmosphere were great. Watching people in costume was the best part.
We've only gone during Oct/Nov mainly due to the Food and Wine Festival. LOVE the Food and Wine Festival!
We went to the MNSSHP twice, and that was one too many. Great for little kids, but once you do it, they don't change it up enough to make it fresh each year.
Love the weather - not horrible humid and even some cool evenings/mornings. But you can still enjoy the pools.
LOVE the Fall in Florida.

....not really bad crowds at all. We had been going to WDW the last few days of Oct...into the 1st week of Nov....for 5 years in a row...and the weather was wonderful. (80 to 82 during the day....and low to mid 60's at night) When we were there...it was also during the "dreaded" Jersey Week...and the last week of Food & Wine Festival....and the only "heavy" crowds we saw were on Sat night at Epcot. In my opinion...it's one of the best times of the year to be there for both good weather...and moderate crowds.

A great way to avoid crowds but still enjoy a little bit of the MNSSHP is to wander the beach at the Poly at night. While everyone else is pressed into MK - sitting in the sand and watching the fireworks from across the water is spookily romantic.
we were there last oct and went to 3 of the 4 MNSSHP that were offered... except for the last one of our trip the parties were awesome! we had 5-10min waits for everything... except splash mountain, there was no wait but the twist and turns to get to the ride log was very long lol.
I would go back in Oct in a heartbeat...if it wasn't for my fiancee wanting to experience "Christmas time" for our honeymoon this year.
oh and weather was slightly warm but never saw a single cloud in the sky the entire week we were there... well except those ugly man made clouds that say "YOU + GOD = LOVE" waste a perfect blue sky!!!!
