40th and 40th Celebration Gift Ideas

We're staying at AKV in April and will be celbrating DW's 40th birthday. Since this is WDW's 40th anniversary celebration, would you mind sharing gift ideas that I might suprise her with during our trip? (DD age 11 will be traveling with us)

DH turned 40 during our trip in January, and we had some fun with him ... including making him wear the personalized Mickey birthday hat!

We got him some of the 40th merchandise as a gift, and have the 40th anniversary photo album, but his big present/surprise wasn't related to the 40th.

I got him Dine with an Imagineer at Flying Fish and he LOVED it. My parents also bought him one of the tours, and it was also excellent. While he was off at his special b-day things, I let DD pick what we did, so the times were special for her too!

A spa package at the AKL....her 40 yr. old aching feet will need a little TLC at the end of her celebration!

I'm turning 40 this year and I'm going to WDW to celebrate with them as we both celebrate turning 40 together. My brother just sent me the 40th Anniversary Mickey ears and they are awesome. He also sent me a 40th anniversary shirt. They have a lot of merchandise that you can surprise her with. You could also surprise her with a special meal at her favorite restaurant or one that she's always wanted to go to but you've never been to before. The tours and spa mentioned by the previous posters are also great ideas.
If there is a certain resort that she's always wanted to stay at you could surprise her with that. We are finally going to splurge and stay at the AKL. Have a great trip!

I celebrated my 40th b-day at Disney with my husband. We had a wonderful dinner at the Cali Grill and enjoyed watching Wishes from the window view we had. We did not have the children on this trip but I know they would have loved it!

For a gift, my husband helped me pick out a very nice watch from the WOD store. Wearing that watch is an instant reminder of how much fun my husband and I had on our special trip!
