Default Which EPCOT restaurant for lunch?

My boyfriend and I will be going to EPCOT next weekend. It's his first time to EPCOT, and we only have one day to spend in the parks. Where should we make ADR's for a special eating experience while in EPCOT for lunch?

He eats everything. I eat everything vegetarian except I do eat fish, so I'm thinking Coral Reef, Les Chefs de France, Rose and Crown, or San Angel Inn? Any recommendations?

If you're going next weekend and haven't made ADRs, my suggestion would be see what's available before making plans. Especially in the summer those places fill up pretty quick, so you'll need to check (either online or by calling) and see who has openings and then make your "potential" list based on that.

How about Marrakesh in Morrocco? They have good food, plus the band and bellydancer make it a special experience. They do have vegetable coucous as an entree, plus an interesting seafood appetizer. We ate there on our last trip and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Ooooo -- my hubby and I LOVED the vegetarian dish at San Angel! Plus, I have always loved the ambiance. I cast my vote for there

I vote for Coral Reef...the catfish I had there last time was outstanding...and it's a really cool experience to sit in that beautiful room/tank...how often do you get to eat in an aquarium?

At this point, I'd shoot for Coral Reef for lunch, but go walk around inside the pyramid in Mexico, for it is lovely and romantic (not to mention, much cooler inside) before lunch. Try a special marguerita or two at the new Tequilla bar in Mexico. Perhaps a tequilla tasting before lunch. Both of these places have excellent theming. And seriously, the Coral Reef has giant glass windows that are the aquariums in the Seas! How cool is that?

I agree - the Catfish is out of this world! DH loves it too - it is his favorite meal

It is also a cool respite from the heat!

Always love to see people's opinions.

I love the Coral Reef. I liked San Angel, my wife didn't (she's from Arizona, and is a mexican food snob. She didn't think it was good at all.) Rose and Crown is OK, but we don't plan on going back.

I'm going to vote here for Chefs de France. I've been there twice, once for lunch, and once for dinner. This last time, my DW and I went to WDW for our anniversary, and we ate at two Signature Restaurants (California Grill and Brown Derby), as well as Chefs de France and Teppan Edo. Of the four, we thought that Chefs de France was hands-down the best of the four meals. I had the French Onion soup (which is SOOOOO good) and baked macaroni w/ cream. She had the roasted chicken w potatoes and vegetables, and she was savoring every single bite.

So, if it were me, I would go in this order:

    1. Chefs de France
    2. Coral Reef
    3. San Angel
    4. Rose and Crown
    5. Marrakesh

Marrakesh is definitely interesting, and different, but unless you're somewhat adventurous, you may not really enjoy the meal itself.

    Default Best for Lunch

We ate last sunday at Coral Reef and it was great. Pan seared trout over a warm white beens and arugula. Superceded by a cup of lobster soup. I gave it four fins.

When my wife and I want a romantic lunch, we head to Chefs de France. The atmosphere/ambiance, onion soup, and french rolls can't be beat.

Since you're going for lunch, I would consider Chefs de France. I've heard friends say the very much prefer lunch there over dinner because of the different menu choices. And you may get to see Remy.

Teppan Edo is great and you could eat the Scallops since you mentioned you eat fish. Great food & fun overall experience.

well since you are going in a week and havent already made reservations, it might be hard. I would play around on the disney website to see which resturants you would be able to get in.

I will tell you that more than likely you will NOT be able to get into these resturants
    -Le Cellier
    -Coral Reef
    -Chef De France(maybe)

I saw that you had San Angel as one of the places you would like to try, and i would think you would be able to get in there for lunch.

    hope this helps

We've eaten at the Rose & Crown, Coral Reef, and San Angel Inn. We enjoyed all three, though the food at San Angel Inn was so-so.

Any would be a good choice, so I'd see what you can get into at this point (you may have trouble getting an advance dining reservation at this point.)

We're hoping to try Les Chefs de France on our next trip to check the audio-animatronic Remy.

I have eaten at most of the restaurants in EPCOT but had putting off eating in France because I was unsure of French food. I love Rose & Crown for lunch but my first choice would definitely be Chef's de France now. Coral Reef is good but for what you get for the price, it just isn't worth it. Never have eaten at San Angel because I am from Texas and we eat Mexican food 3-4 times a week. When in the World, I want to expand my palette.

Just returned, did not have ADR's, & was able to walk up & get seated for lunch at Marakesh in Morrocco immediately..excellent veggies with meal....next dining lunch was at Rose & Crown, had to wait 10" only. They had great veggies, & the potato & leek soup was very good also.
