For reasons not appropriate to discuss here, I do not like this promotion at all.

I think this is a great opportunity, and the trend towards encouraging volunteerism is definitely a plus, and is something that the whole family can get involved and will allow them to reap the benefits of giving their service together.

Really? I'm very curious - can't personally see the downside and wondering what I'm missing? PM if you care to :-)

With the launch of the Give a Day Get a Day program Disney has published a very good FAQ about the program. You can check it out HERE. Has anyone signed up to use their day at Disneyland yet? I really do think that this is a great way for a family or group of friends to get together to show support for great organizations and get a free day at the Parks...

Another note that I didn't notice ... they are only giving away 1 Million tickets... register fast! (the official site is running very slow due to bazillions of people signing up!)

My family is all registered for this and we're doing our service at the end of this month. It took two days of work to get us registered. On the first it was pretty impossible. It was running really slow and the pages kept timing out. Plus they wouldn't like you register more than two people at a time. This morning we were able to get on without a problem and were set up on our first try.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, the choices around here are few and far between for us (with kids under 18). Something about making a mail order blanket?!?!

LOL! Yeah, I did it both ways and there's quite a bit to do in Phoenix, but with the -18 plan there's significantly less. Maybe you can do something around WDW?

btw I love the avatar! I need something new.
