    Default Easy "non-costumes" for MNSSHP

Hey all, we leave in 13 days and I'm down to the wire on costumes. My daughter is going to be Tink (unless she has a growth spurt, which she will then be Minnie Mouse... we're taking both, just in case). I wanted to be someone related to Tink, so the whole family would "fit together." However, DH doesn't want to dress up. So I'm looking for ideas for a costume that's not really a costume for him, and maybe me. Something we could pack easily would be great. I'd still love to be "related" but I can't seem to think of anything. Wendy would work, but I don't want to wear a dress at all. Did Wendy ever wear pants? Could I make that work? Ideas that I can make possible in 12 days... ?

When my sons wear costumes, my husband and I would not want full costumes so we would wear hats or headgear. Example, if my sons were pirates, my husband and I would wear pirate scarfs, earring, and makeup.

You don't need to be someone from Peter Pan. You could be a fairy from Pixie Hollow - both Vidia or Fawn wear pants. If you look them up on the web I am sure you can come kind of close to what they wear.

Last year my SIL dressed as one of the Wiggles. Just a thought for your husband.

If your daughter goes as Minnie Mouse, your DH could just wear one of those Goofy baseball hats with the ears, and shorts and a Tshirt that match the colors of Goofy's clothes. You could probably find a hat with a picture of Daisy on it for you.....

Or you could be Peter Pan with a green shirt and shorts with a Peter Pan hat, DH could wear a Pirate hat and hookhand for Captain Hook....

My Best Non-Costume Costume was the year I went as Al's Toy Barn. I wore a red shirt and carried a small Sheriff Woody doll.

You could get your husband a pair of generic-looking wings and have him carry a Red Bull can around with him. (Might be a little obscure, though.)

My husband didn't want to wear a costume next
month, but while out shopping I found a t-shirt
that looks like the top of a costume. His is dracula. They had a yellow fireman, and a blue
    policeman also.
I talked my son into Goofy. Jeans, orange t-shirt & black vest(both on clearance) w/ the Goofy hat from our last trip.

If it doesn't have to be Disney you could tape smarties to your pants and go as a "smartie pants" or draw a big quarter on paper cut it out and tape it to the back of your shirt and go as a "quarterback"

    1) Take an old pair of pants and shirt and tear/shred them.
    2) Pack them in your luggage.
    3) A little makeup and be a scarecrow
    4) plus, it leave luggage room for souvenirs.

We're just wearing Halloween t-shirts. It wouldn't be Tink related, but it's super easy, cheap, and comfortable.

That's what the BF and I did last year for MNSSHP - I was in an orange and black Nightmare Before Christmas T-shirt, and he was in a black & white one. We were Hallowe'en-ish and we matched. Then we splurged on the Pumpkin Mickey Ears for me, and the Jack Skellington Mickey Ears for him.

Don't know if you've been to MNSSHP before, but don't feel too much pressure to dress up if you don't want to - there are lots of folks just in their street clothes. (Especially the adults.) They still give you candy. :P
