I purchased my points through the Timeshare Store which is also Intercot's Official Sponsor. I received great service and had a very smooth transaction and would really recommend them to anyone looking at reslae purchases

We can only talk about The Timeshare Store on this forum as they are a sponsor of Intercot. You will find there are a lot of members who have been very happy with the service they provide. I am another one who bought a resale from them and they made it simple even though I am in the UK.

We purchased our BWV points from the Timeshare store and it went very smoothly.

I think it's messed up that we can only discuss this company solely since they are a sponsor. Censorship or exclusion, for money, is a little unsettling for me...

I'm afraid that it is a reality of life that if we did not have sponsors on Intercot we probably would not have Intercot at all. It is not fair to our sponsors to promote their competitors.

DH and I were considering buying AK on the resale market this year and worked with The Timeshare Store. They were very helpful. In the end we purchased new at BLT but I will not hesitate to use The Timeshare Store in the future based on my experience with them.

They are a very good place to start. I continue to get daily email updates from them with new listings. If you don't want to talk with anyone you can ask to just receive the email listings. If you decide you no longer want to receive them you can cancel. No pushing.

I've used the Time Share Store and another broker who can not be named on this board. The Time Share Store was good but the other broker was just as good, or even better with weekly updates during the sale (even if nothing had happened). The Time Share Store was silent if nothing had happened that week. There are several that will send weekly emails with new listings, but the best way is to call them and tell them what you are looking for. I've snagged a couple of contracts that way before they even hit the website or weekly emails.

We bought some more points from the Timeshare Store this year. I posted that everyone we worked with was knowledgeable and courteous. I'm happy to recommend them.

I guess my uneducated question is: Do you lose any of the Disney 'magic' or any benefits when purchasing a resale?

Another happy timeshare store customer here. Very smooth and much cheaper than Disney.

You may be slightly misinformed ... this is a privately owned and operated business with sponsors who help mightily to keep it running. It's not "censorship" or "exclusion" ... it's "paid sponsorship."

You wouldn't expect Coke to pay to sponsor the Super Bowl and then have the announcers talk about Pepsi the entire game, would you?

As a seller of points, I highly recommend The Timeshare Store. Their staff is knowledgeable, efficient, helpful, and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from The Timeshare Store based on my positive experience selling my Saratoga Springs points.

Perfect way to put it -- I was trying to come up with a way to explain it, and there it is!

My DH and I are considering a re-sale, too, and have had excellent service from the TimeShare store... the only change you need to be aware of in what they offer is financing. It used to be a part of the package, that you could get financing through a bank associated w/ them, but no longer.... in today's economic times, their bank pulled out and you need to go into the transaction w/ your own financing, or cash. Just a word to the wise...

I think a more appropriate analogy would be if Coke staffers were wandering around preventing anyone from even mentioning Pepsi during the game.

And I say this as a Diet Coke drinker that was very pleased with how the Timeshare Store handled our resale purchase.
35+ trips to WDW since 1985...and it never gets old.
