Dreaded Crowd Question
We will be at the world from Oct. 16 -24th. It's been 4 yrs. since I've been at this time of year - for those of you who go around this time what can we expect the crowds to be like? I'm thinking the weather was really nice and don't remember any rain at all. Nights kinda cool, but no all the time. Since it's free dining I expect that to be crowded.

Our friends go this time of year every year and LOVE it. Crowds are light and you have the option of attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! The weather (I've been told) is great - you can check the historical weather info tab here on Intercot. Go to the Info Central tab and scroll down to the Weather section. I think you picked a great time to go. We went Oct 5-11 last year and were VERY happy with weather and crowds. Enjoy!

We went during that same time last year (actually 10/12-10/24).
Crowds weren't light, but they weren't ridiculously heavy either. You walked onto almost nothing, but that was alright. I would say crowds were moderate to (kind of) high. Sorry, not too technical.
The popular rides had some long waits (60-100 minutes), so we just FP'ed them. FP's still sold out for EE, which surprised me.
Many restaurants were booked solid (Narcoossee's, Cali Grill, Le Cellier, 'Ohana breakfast and dinner, Teppan Edo, Le Chefs, Crystal Palace breakfast, Coral Reef, LTT, 50's PT for lunch, etc.) We even had to wait for a table at breakfast on several days at the Grand Flo Cafe for the first time ever.
You will not see low crowds at all, so be prepared for that. I don't think there is a slow time anymore. I do remember the days of walking onto rides, and never needing an ADR for lunch, but those days are long gone.
Weather was GORGEOUS, though. Low to mid 80's the entire time, almost no rain at all, and nice, warm evenings. I didn't wear a single sweatshirt or pair of jeans the entire time!

We're planning on going next October (2010), do they always have free dining in October and if so what date does it run through?
It would be good to know in planning the dates we want to go because it'll make it more difficult to get the ADR's that we would want.
