Default Which Resort "Feels the Most Disney" to You

To me (as odd as it might sound to some , given its kind of stark interior/exterior) its the contemporary...probably because of the monorail going through it and it being where I spent my first night at WDW....just wondering which resort made others feel the most "in disney" out of all the WDW resorts.

I agree with the 2 previous posters. The Contemporary is definitely the most Disney feeling resort to me. That being said I am not a fan of the resort at all and have no desire to stay there. A little too sterile for my taste.

The three monorail hotels for me, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Polynesian, walking into the Great Ceremonial House over the waterfalls and taking in those tropical smells always brings me back to the first time I arrived at WDW and we ate at the Polynesian.

The Contemporary is a close second, because it's the first resort I stayed at (the Poly was booked, the GF didn't exist.) But my Disney home is the GF, because it was my first trip as an adult and my honeymoon and that's where I always want to be.

If its Disney as in "quality and excellence" then for me its the Beach Club

If its Disney as in "Mickey and Disney art", then its probably Contemporary or All-Stars

I would have to go with the Contemporary. It is the first resort that I say when I visited the MK back in the early 80’s. When I took the ferry over from the parking lot, all you say was Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain and the Contemporary.

    The Contemporary, without question.

It was the resort we always stayed at the few times we visited when I was a child. That mammoth interior space, the monorail going through....it was all so much larger than life to a 4, 7, and 10 year old.

I can't wait for my children to experience the same wonder.

Pop Century. I love staying in the 50s section and seeing Lady and the Tramp.

I agree with one of the above posts, it has to be any of the values because of the wimsical (can't spell) deco.

    The Contemporary for sure.

Followed closely by the Wilderness Lodge.

I would have to say the CBR due to the fact is is covered in Pirate theme thru out rooms, pool, gift shop and decorations. It is the only resort that is themed after a ride at the park.....I just had a good thought how about a resort themed after the haunted mansion ,,,would it be a real popular resort?? Maybe a start for a new thread.....

What an interesting question. I would have to break my answer into the two categories of personally and generally.

Personally it's WL, because that's where we love to stay and feel most at home and most relaxed and Disneyfied.

But I have to agree that generally it's the Comtemporary. One of the original resorts, monorail, distinctive architecture, the castle is within view ect.

That I've stayed at: Port Orleans French Quarter

That I haven't stayed at: Polynesian

I stayed at POFQ last year for the 1st time and I absolutely fell in love with it there. Everything about it. I can go on and on and on... I really felt like I was in the magic from the time we got there till we had to leave. It is so well-kept and very intrigueing.

I say the Poly because it has ALWAYS since I was a kid, been the one place I could just go to just walk around and take in the atmosphere. We always had a meal there, whether it was a character breakfast, or Kona Cafe. We always made it a point to visit the Poly on every single trip, followed by a ride on the monorail to take us to MK. I love sitting on the beach at night, just looking at MK from across the water. That has got to be the most "Disney" resort to me.
Been there, Haven't done it all...GOING BACK!!!

Next trip "Home" - September 3-10th 2016 at the Beach Club Resort! Giannas 1st trip to WDW!!!

Personally, it is the Coronado as that is where we have the best stays. Seven times we have had superior service, friendly CM's, outstanding mousekeeping, friendly fellow guests, peaceful and laid back time away from the parks.

I would say the "most Disney" is the values because of the larger than life icons, etc.

FW was my first Disney resort, and always think of it when someone talks about Disney. While we have never stayed there, the CR also feels like Disney to me. Maybe it is the monorail going through, but I know I am at Dsiney when I see the CR

We really like the laid-back atmosphere at Old Key West. Also, the boat ride to Downtown Disney that goes right past the new Treehouses.
