POFQ - Best Building to stay
Does anyone have any suggestion as to which is the best building to stay in at French Quarter? My family and I are going May 19-26 and I was going to try to put in a request. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
We stayed there a few years ago but I do not remember what building was best.

Buildings 3 or 4 are closest to the food court/gift shop, etc. but the resort is relatively small so any of the buildings are fine.
-
We have stayed in building 2 and 4, and both were just fine!
The resort is small, so you'll never be too far away from anything

In 2005 we stayed in Building 3 room 3210. I remember being thankful that we had an upstairs room so we didn't have folks walking by our window-although we had to lug the bags upstairs! Magical Express can do that for you these days though!

A couple of years ago, we stayed in building 6. We were right on the river, and enjoyed it very much. It was fun to watch the boats go by from our room. As said above, it is a small place, and nothing is too far away. It was one of the shortest walks from a bus stop we have ever had, and we were on the backside of the resort! Enjoy

google earth has some great 3d images for all the resorts, i would suggest you do some virtual touring to see what the resort looks like. i like to go to google earth after the trip and then do a virtual walk of the resort room we stayed at to the bus stops to relive the magic.

POFQ is probably the only WDW resort where the building is not critical. Building 4 is especially convenient to the food court and bus stop.
-
Last year we stayed in Bldg. 4 on the second fl. and it was great. As already stated, the resort is small so most things are relatively close. Have fun!

I would request Bldg. #3 on the first floor . Its close to the restaurant, shop, pool, and most importantly the bust stop. Have fun!

No building is bad but we like building 4.

We requested building five and got it. It is two steps to the food court. It is right outside the pool. We have courtside. I like it because it is cooler and quieter. We are on the third floor not near the elevator. We do the stairs it's okay. We did want first floor and requested it and did not get it. We have a beautiful view of the Sassagula River. Good luck on your decision. Remember fax your request four days before you arrive.
Keep smiling and Have a magical day!!!
It's all good.
We love to serve fun, food, and deliciousness.

I was asking the same question a few months ago because it was my first stay at POFQ! And everyone said that you can't go wrong with any of the buildings - and I would have to say they're right! We stayed in building 5 - right across from the pool and right by the food court and store (which can be said for many of the rooms ) The entire resort is very small so if walking is an issue you should be ok no matter what. Even though we were right by the pool it was usually quiet if that is something you are also looking into.

You really can't go wrong with any of the buildings at the French Quarter, it's a beautiful place. We have stayed in buildings 2, 4, and 7.
7 was a hike—although not too far, after a day in the park you feel it a bit—but, it was a very pretty hike (the grounds are beautiful). Also, building 7 was the quietest so far). Building 4 was pretty good since it was closer to everything. And building 2 was nice—especially that we would walk along the river at night and in the morning.
Building 7—if you want quiet and don't mind a little extra walking.
Building 4—ease of getting to the bus stop and food court.
Building 2—closer to pool and the river.
Have an awesome time, and let us know how your trip goes.
