    Smile Disney Boardwalk

    Hi all
My friend is staying in pop century for two weeks at the end of April and is looking to pay a visit to Disney Boardwalk. She is looking for any info on the best transport/parking for this. She will have a car but will also be using the disney transportation service.
    Any advice gratefully received.

    you could walk from epcot
take a boat or walk from DHS
catch a bus at DTD going to the boardwalk

not sure about the parking if you drive your own car - we stayed at the boardwalk a couple times but we never had our car

We always have our own car whenever we go to WDW. We visit the BW every trip - we love walking around, going to shops and restaurants, and seeing the entertainment. We always drive there and park in the parking lot. We stay on sight (at different resorts), so we have our parking pass on our dashboard. We have to stop at the gate, the guard sees our parking pass, checks our ID or room card, and instructs us where to park. Very simple - never a problem.

We usually go to the Boardwalk on each trip, and there is parking for guests. As usual, they asked to see the parking permit from the resort, but there wasn't a problem. It's a short walk from the lot to the Boardwalk.

I would suggest driving as well. As a resort guest, you can park at another resort for free in the self parking. You just need to have your pass in the window. This is probably easiest, especially if you're planning on staying into the evening after the parks close because the only way to get back would be to go to DTD and transfer tot he POP bus. That can take a while!

Thanks for all your help - I think driving would be the best bet. My friend hasn't stayed on site before and is getting used to all the little "extras" that make staying at a disney resort a bit more special.
