    Default Game Night!

My husband and I love board games and card games, as well as our group of late 20/early 30 yearold friends. We're looking for some new games to add to our collection! So what are some of your favorite games to play? Family friendly is great as well since some of us have kids and some of us are trying! Our current faves are all variants of Cranium (Cranium, Hoopla, Pop 5) as well as the Catan series...we even have enjoyed Pixar's Monopoly and Pirates version of Life! (Anyone try Life, Twists and Turns?) So Intercot friends, what do you guys play on Game Night?

We liked Pictionary. I'm not even sure they still sell it. We switched out the little drawing pads to a big one on an easel stand. Another is Trivial Pursuit.

DD12 & I always play Aggravation. A classic marble game and a lot of laughs. Now that she's older (we've been playing for years) she loves to send my marbles home. She wouldn't send me home when she was younger.

One of my absolute FAVORITE games is Encore! ... you can get it at our partner Amazon.com, just use the link through under ICOT Affiliates on the right. It's a GREAT game and it involves singing. SO awesome with groups!

Our current favorite is Ticket to Ride. You can't buy it at a regular toy store. You have to get it at a game store or off Amazon.com. For a larger group, we also like Guesstures or Taboo.

    Have fun!

We LOVE game nights!!! Pictionary is a favorite... we got a cheap white board from wal mart that we store at the house we go to the most. Taboo, Scattegories, Outburst, Catchphrase, Family Feud, Guesstures, and Partini are also favorites. However, if you really want an interesting (but LONG) night, play Risk!

LOve Trivial Pursuit! I've also heard that Apples to Apples is a great game, that'll probably be the next one we purchase.

    Another vote for Quiddler.

You can also try Pass the Pigs. It's completely silly, but a lot of fun. It's basically two small plastic pigs instead of dice and you get points based on how they land.

For a large group, chicken foot dominos is fun. We also like Catch Phrase (although the electronic version does have some not as family friendly phrases), and Guesstures is fun.

There are also a lot of games that can be played with one or more standard decks of cards such as Canasta and Samba. I'm sure you can find the rules for those online.
