Which Hotel For Nana?

I'm planning on taking my mom and nana to disney in the begining of december of 2009. My nana will be 88 and we'll be using the wheelchair to scoot her around all the parks. However, I'm not sure what hotel would be best for her. I want to stay on Disney property and want to treat them to at least a moderate. I've only ever stayed at the Pop Century. Any ideas which hotel would be the best for an elderly peron in a wheelchair, who can walk, but just can't walk that far? Thanks

Well all the values are basically the same in this regard. If you are looking at the Moderates I would say Pofq ,it is the smallest resort in area and very easy to get around at.You know how the busses at Pop are well they can be just as busy at Pofq.Busses usually go to Pofq first also so that might help.

We went last May with my Mom who was using a scooter due to a recent knee replacement.

We stayed at POFQ, and we loved it. The small size of the resort was wonderful. After a long day in the parks, it was a quick trip back to the room, off to the pool, etc. Mom could manage the walk to the pool, food court, etc without trouble. She also loved scootering around and looking at the river.

We never had trouble with busses, they come to FQ first, so they got Mom loaded, and then we were off to Riverside. On the way home, the busses would often go to Riverside first, and then back to FQ, I'm not sure if this is normal, or if it was because the driver didn't want to unload the scooter from a crowded bus. Either way, it didn't cause us any issues.

My DD uses is in a wheelchair. The problem we have at the moderates is when it rains, it is difficult to get her to the food court without her getting really wet. We like the WL for that reason. We also like the Poly for better transportation and it is easy to not get too wet getting to the main building there.
