SO many discounts

First, I do not in any way want to be perceived as bragging about the PIN codes I have received.....I'm merely wanting to disucss if anyone else has been flooded by PIN codes in the last couple of months?

We know there are the 4/3 discounts, the AP discounts and then it started in email and now has trickled down to snail mail.....Disney REALLY wants my family to come back this year!!

First, I received an email PIN about three weeks ago, then about a week later I got another email PIN code. Yesterday I got a mailer for the 40% discount that is now being discussed out there. All this plus we could take advantage of the military special they are offering......seems to me that Disney is really hurting on bookings for this year and I know it's sort of a dead horse talking about how the economy is having an effect on things, but from what I read about the park attendance it just does not add up to me that Disney is having that much difficulty booking rooms, but they must be with all the discounts floating around!

Has anyone else been flooded with discounts?

Yes - and it's killing me that we can't take advantage of them!! We were there in October (got a decent deal, but not like what's being offered now!) so don't have to funds to go again. But we received a Pin Code for the 40% off accomodations, and the 5day/4night package WITH tickets & meal plan for $1287. SOOOOO hard to pass these up.

Yes, I have been recieving them. We usually go a few times a year and hadn't booked anything at the time I started receiving them. They hooked me and we booked. I'm still receiving emails and postcards with discounts.

I wish I could get one. I have always wanted to stay at AKL in December but can't unless we can get a great deal on rooms. I've been trying to convince my parents to go this year to take advantage of military discount but so far no luck. I'll just keep hoping for a pin code...

I've only received one pin code and that was early last year. Wish I'd receive them more often. We did take advantage of the bounce back promo on our last two trips.

I have never gotten one... not an e-mail pin code, not a snail mail one, not anything. It's weird, b/c all of my friends have and so many of my friends on here have... but us? Nothing! We never even got the AP offers that were out there, I had to call and ask why, apparently the "please send me e-mail w/ info" button was not clicked so they changed that... and still nothing!! I am really disappointed and tempted to call again and see if there is another "button" that's not clicked on my profile, b/c I can't believe that I'm one of the few who's never gotten anything.

We would really love to go in October this year, but unless a seriously good offer comes out, or we get a great pin code, I just can't justify the expense with the economy being what it is. Understandable, and I'm sure the same as it is for tons of folks out there, but still disappointing!!

We already had booked for September/October but we got the free dining pin...not sure the science they use for this...

Well, I certainly get a lot of e-mails from Disney (Shopping, Movie Rewards, Television, Family Fun, etc) but we haven't seen anything with regard to discounts other than the 4/3 e-mails both DH and I received a few months ago. Isn't it strange how some of us are getting deluged, and others haven't seen anything?

A guy in my office gets one every couple of months and brings them in to tease me. I've never gotten any PIN codes - maybe it's because I go too often??

I got one a few weeks but couldn't use it because it was during a time I couldn't go. It was a great deal and I would have gotten a free $500 gift card to use while I was there! I was SO sad that I couldn't go.

My friend got one a couple of months ago but it was for the Disney Cruise Line.

This is the one that we got and just had to take advantage of!! But we booked this before I knew about the Buy4/Get 3 promo. But you can't beat a $500 gift card on arrival!!! But I have gotten a few different Pin codes throughout the year, but unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of any until this one!!!

Just got my fifth email pin for the 500 dollar gift card and the extra days.. waiting with baited breath to get the one for the free dining since that occurs when we're going.. but so far, no good

We have received three e-mail pin codes in the past several weeks, but none of them apply to the time period we are interested in (late October).

This is the first time in several years that we have not had an upcoming trip to WDW booked before we finished our current trip.

I do remember that we received a couple postcards with pin codes during the last time period we did not have a WDW trip booked.

I don't know if this is at all related to how they pull their lists for these promotional mailings/e-mailings... only Disney knows!
