24 -- Season 7 discussion

Just a reminder to people that watch 24 that it starts back up tonight from 8-10 and again Monday 8-10 before it settles into it's 9pm Monday timeslot.

Can't wait! First an Eagles win over the Giants, and now 24! Redemption was so awesome, I hope the rest of the season is as good.

I thought it was a really good season opener, better than the last one (two years ago--hard to believe!) I really like Renee with Jack; it was fun to someone who will give him a run for his money. The one person that seemed out-of-place or something was Janeane Garafalo's (sp?) Janis. It's like she's supposed to be this season's Chloe-like character, but then again it's pretty common knowledge that Chloe will be back in future episodes. I was also glad to see Ethan back on as a familiar face, as well as Tony (or "evil Tony", as I am calling him now--or is he?) Anyway, I'm looking forward to tonight's installment.

I agree about the Garafalo character. $10 says shes the mole.
I love the action this show doles out but I think my favorite scene was Jack being questioned by that smug Senator. I would love to see someone take them on in real life!

See I generally dislike Jeanine Garafolo, but so far I like her in this season. Her character is awkward and kind of funny, but has nowhere near the charm of Chloe (who is already back).
I am really liking this season so far. The weak link for me is actually the president. For a show that has had so many strong female characters, I dunno... she's not doing it for me yet. Why couldn't Palmer be president forever! lol.

Looks like another great season of 24. Still haven't watched Redemption.....but will. I love Chloe and was glad to see her back.

Redemption was really awesome, and it sets up the whole background, explaining what went on between seasons and setting up Taylor as president and the stuff going on in Africa.

The weak link for me is actually the president. For a show that has had so many strong female characters, I dunno... she's not doing it for me yet. Why couldn't Palmer be president forever! lol.

See, I like President Taylor's character. She has a steely strength and yet does not have a harsh or cold personality. Plus she actually looks people straight in the eye when she talks to them, something President Logan couldn't do, because he was so dishonest and twisted. I do have a growing distaste for her husband (can't remember his name). He is bound to be a thorn in her side as the story unfolds.

She grew on me, I'm a fan. Tonight's episode was awesome! I really love this season so far. Tonight's twist of kidnapping the first "gentleman" was interesting.

I liked that Jack stopped the security guard from being killed in the last episode. After what happened to Dubaku's girlfriend earlier in the season, it was good to see he was not going to go back on his word to protect someone.

Yea I liked that too. For a moment I thought Tony was going to talk him out of it.

This season has my head spinning. I don't know how they are going to wrap all this up and I wonder if there will be a giang cliff-hanger at the end.

I did not like that twist at the end with Tony. And if he felt he had to kill Larry, why couldn't have shot the poor guy instead of slowly asphyxiating him?? Ugh! I have a feeling they're setting up the final confrontation between Jack and Tony (good vs. evil) as part of the season finale. (Assuming that Jack is cured of the biotoxin, which he's got to be or there's no 24, right?)
