Default Our January Disney Pre-Trip Report

Hi all! First let me say this is my first ever pre-trip report, so here goes!

    Cast of Characters:
Me - Stacy (29) - the obsessive Disney planner!
DH - Chris (29) - not so much the Disney enthusiast, but he doesn't mind supporting my habit
    DS - Jonah (8) - loves Disney!

    Dates of Travel: January 3 - 11, 2009

This will be our 6th trip to the World in as many years. Our original dates of travel were 2-9 but we tweaked them a little to take advantage of the 4/3 offer. I am celebrating my 29th birthday on the 2nd! We will be celebrating that while we are at the World.

We live about 9 hours away, so we always drive down. Plan is to leave after Jonah's Basketball game on Saturday morning and drive down to Kissimmee. We will grab a cheap hotel room for the night before checking into Port Orleans Riverside on Sunday. We are on the DDP and may possibly upgrade our tickets to the WPF&M option depending on the weather while we are there.

Sunday's plan is to arrive at settle into our room before heading over to the Magic Kingdom. History has shown that we tend to hit Tomorrowland first for Buzz fastpasses and then a ride on the TTA. We have a dinner ADR at the Liberty Tree Tavern at 7:30. I'm glad that we will get in one last Character Dinner here as it is one of our favorites. MK has EMH that night, so plan is to take advantage of that.

Monday's plan is Epcot in the morning and DHS that evening also for EMH. Jonah rode the TofT for the first time last year, and while he was terrified, he is ready to ride again! He's talked about it all year. Maybe he'll become a thrill seeker this year! Not sure if we'll get on TSM this day or not, but plan to get it in sometime this week. I'm sure it will become a new favorite. Hopefully we can get into Fantasmic at 6:30 then head to our ADR at 50's Prime Time at 7:30.

Tuesday is AK in the morning & MK evening. We have ADR's at the Grand Floridian Cafe at 8:30 for dinner. We've never eaten here before, but I'm excited about the menu here.

Wednesday is DHS in the morning & Epcot for the evening. Dinner ADR's are at Coral Reef at 7:20. Another first for us as well.

Thursday morning starts off with a family favorite at Chef Mickey's for breakfast at 9:50. Not really sure where we will go after that.

Friday is MK in the morning & Epcot for evening EMH. Dinner ADR's are at Garden Grill at 6:50. Another family favorite here.

Saturday is our last day in the parks so we plan to hit anything we missed or want to do again this morning and end up at the MK in the evening to say our goodbyes. Dinner ADR's are at Ohana at 8:10. Plan is to get there early to see if we can get seated before Wishes at 8.

Sunday will be an early start for home. Probably hitting the road by at least 8.

So there you have it. I can't wait!
