Second week of June?
LoML and I had planned our trip for late May, only to find that our family's vacation home has been rented! We can't quite afford to stay the same amount of time in the resorts at this time of year, so we were thinking about changing our schedule to June 9-19. I think schools let out around June 4 ... does anyone know about crowds and what we can expect during that time?
Thanks!
Beth

Crowds begin to build around that time for the summer, so I'd expect moderately large crowds.

It will be more crowded than late May would have been, but not as crowded as it will be later in June.
We will be there from the 16th - 24th.
35+ trips to WDW since 1985...and it never gets old.

From a June veteran:
Crowds do build throughout June as schools let out. The second week won't be as bad as the end of the month.
It will be hot, but not unbearable if you plan for it. Make it a point to stay hydrated and make sure to take mid-day breaks.
Utilize Fastpass as much as possible.
Two schools of thought, do morning EMH and hop once that park gets crowded, or avoid EMH and still arrive at other parks early using the cooler, less crowded mornings to do a lot of attractions. Do what's best for your family.
You've been to WDW plenty of times, you know what you're doing. Still, develop a plan. You'll want one in June, for your enjoyment.
We'll be there June 13th - 21st, can't wait!

We were there from June 10-16 last year. It was very busy and very hot and muggy, but manageable with proper planning. My best suggestion to you is use fastpasses wisely. The lines for the major attractions were well over 2 hours. I was traveling with my hubby, a 9 month old, a 4 year old and an 8 year old. We did schedule a day off midweek for us to sleep in, hang at the hotel pool, and basically just relax for a day. We went to Downtown Disney in the evening and watched the fireworks from our hotel. The busiest day we had was at MGM and it was Star Wars Weekend. The park was packed, but if you have a Star Wars fan like we did it was totally worth it. My 8 year old stook in a line to get his picture taken with Dark Maul for an hour and a half in the beating hot son. We never ever got to ride Rockin Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror because all the fastpasses were gone by 11:00 am.
Other than our day at MGM, it wasn't too bad. I planned obsessively for the crowds though and it all worked out. We were not early risers either, so we were not at the park when it opened each day. We didn't get to the parks until around 10:00 each morning and still were able to do most of what we wanted to do.
