Pre-trip report part II - leaving in 8 days!

I confess, I already wrote a quick trip report in August. Since we are leaving in 8 days, I'am now in that over the top I can stand it excitement!

I have gone on Accuweather everyday and spent too many hours than I care to admit playing Disney music

Cast - myself, DH, DD (11 and 9/10ths), DS (9)

We always take time in the afternoon for pool time.. this will probably be the most relaxing as its the 3rd trip as a family...

I have not done as much planning as in the past, but this is what we are hoping to do...

Sat, Nov 4 - Arrive at MCO 10:15, check in at Poly hopefully get a top floor room (and will ask for Tahiti when we get there)
Go to MK (always have to start at MK!)
Dinner at Concourse
Fireworks from the Poly beach, hit the bed early

Sun, Nov 5 - MGM in a.m.
Friends will meet us in afternoon, we are hoping the Pats/Indy game will be on nationally (we are loong time Pats fans, not just during these good days) and watch either from the hotel room or bar. If not, then I will have to go early to the ESPN club and get a table
EMH at MK

Mon - Sleep in late
A different friend is meeting us for the day, Epcot or AK
possibly DisneyQuest later, kids are dying to do the similiated rollercoaster to make their mom sick!

Tues - Epcot or AK
San Angel Inn - dinner (new for us)
Downtown Disney or Boardwalk at night

Wed - Blizzard Beach
Ohanas- dinner (new for us)


Thurs - Crystal Palace Buffet breakfast
Looking forward to seeing MK before it opens
MGM later in the day
LeCellier dinner (8:40 ressie!)

Friday - Last day, I don't want to talk about...
Whatever we want to do... but we always end at Liberty Tree Tavern and MK and mom cries...

Barb, this sounds like a great trip, but OCD will not let me leave the dates alone. I hope it isn't messing up your travels, but because of the PATS game, I know Sunday is November 4th, not the 5th as you stated. Sorry.

AHAHAH! For a second I thought maybe I screwed up our trip! Wheeeeeew! I am okay. We leave on the 4th and come back the 9th. I CAN NOT WAITTTTT!

You're gonna be there when the professional golfers of the PGA tour are having a tournament, right across from the Grand Floridian at the Magnolia and Palm courses.

Its called the "Childrens Miracle Network Classic Presented by Wal-Mart" and will be broadcast on the Golf Channel. It takes place that weekend you are there with the final round on Sunday. In past years it used to be on ABC. It is an annual tournament. There is an entrance fee to see the tournament but I don't think you'll have any time for it. It is an end of season event so don't expect any major names like Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson, but there will be many there.

I am interested in your observations of whether you will see any affect from the tournament at your hotel, such as the media around that area, traffic, if there are any events outside the golf courses that you will be able to see, if the hotels are more booked up, etc.

I will let you know if the golf has an impact, we have been down there before during a Pro weekend (a long time ago) and have had no issues..
The funny thing is, I LOVE having golf on in the background when I'm down there getting ready etc, because usually I'm home watching it from the freezing cold and being jealous! this time I will be a part of it (kind of!)
