Taping of Christmas Parade

It looked to me that taping would be 12-1 and 12-2; Are the celebrities actually on the floats performing during this taping?
Has anyone ever gone to watch. I would like to go and just watch to see the performers?

The taping will be 11/30-12/2. The celebrity performers will be in front of the Castle on Friday and then the parade itself is taped Saturday with reshoots as necessary on Sunday.

In the past anyone could watch the taping who wanted to, but the last 3 years you've had to sign up and get a ticket and commit to a shift in order to be an "extra." They also expect you to wear winter clothing even if it's 85 outside. It's fun, but know what you're getting into before you sign up.

How far in advance do you have to sign up and where? Too late now, but maybe next year!

I don't have the link off the top of my head, but sign up is with the production company and usually happens mid October through when its sold out. Last year I think it may have only been available to AP holders, so was not widely publicized.

Sold out? You mean the signup is sold out or access to the park is sold out that day?

Dec 1 is my daughter's B-day and we are planning to go to the park that day, regardless of the crowds/parade issues. We even got her an appointment at BBB that morning. Do they pre-sell tickets to the park that day? Are we not going to be able to get in?

Chris was referring to signup for watching the parade. Although the Magic Kingdom does occasionally close to additional guests, I don't think it has ever happened on parade taping day. Generally getting around the parade taping that day is a bit of a difficulty (they sometimes even route people through areas that are not normally open to the public), but the rest of the park isn't as bad. You should be fine particularly if you are arriving early in the day.

This might be a dumb question, but does it say anywhere who the celebrities are going to be? I'm curious to know who will be there when we are there. Thanks.

Last year they used the e-mail [email protected] for ticket requests.

DO NOT CALL LIGHTSHIP FOR TICKETS!!! They wont help you, they are not the ones that assign them, they have someone else do that for them. All they do is provide the e-mail address for the people that handle audience requests.

Parade will air December 25, 2007 on ABC. 10am Eastern, 9am Central/Pacific.
