Something about the smell of water on Splash or, really, any of the boat rides does it for me. Sometimes after it rains and I'm driving with the window open, I can close my eyes and imagine I am going down a hill on Splash...and then oncoming traffic honks the horn moments before impact.

This is a tough one - I love Rome burning - it gets me every time - we got stuck next to it once. However, I think the pine trees and oranges of Soarin' have overtaken it in my brain!

I agree with you as well, but I love the smell of the Contemporary, everytime I step into a mall or somewhere that has a closed in atmosphere with foods of more than one kind I am in WDW (did that make sense?), But rides...Ya SE and POTC!.

I liked the Phillarmagic apple pie and sea breeze and Soarin´s pine and oranges

Smells
So many to choose from.....so many memorable ones.....
I always remember the smell from the smoke of the cannons firing at Pirates of the C.
Can't wait until October to smell that and the others again.

I wish that my hospital reminded me of ANYTHING at Disneyworld. (beyond my inherited CM Donald Duck Lanyard that is.)
My smell is from Pirates of the Carribean. The one at Disnelyland more especially since that one was the one I grew up with, and when I worked in Anaheim, when the wind would blow just right you could smell it. That little mildewy, chlorine-y, water additve that they must use. The one at WDW is a little different, but I can still sniff at the gates and if the wind is just right, I can detect POC and my heart rate doubles!

I have to say that one of my most favorite smells is the speedway in Tomorrowland. I went on it a lot when I was 11, 12, 13 - that age - and thought it was so fun to drive. That gasoline smell. Everytime I go through a toll plaza or some enclosed car area, I can smell it. (Now I'm terrified of it because my sister, father and boyfriend all insist on slamming their cars into me, or stopping right in front of me. eek!)
Obviously, Rome burning. Someone else mentioned food - sometimes I smell food that will remind me of the Electric Umbrella or the ABC Commissary. Ah, only 25 days away...

the entrance que of any ride all smell the same to me, even on the monorail. they all have an odd aroma of gasoline mixed with the sounds of vehicles pulling up. i was in DC for the past 3 weeks and every time i would enter the Metro que it would always remind me of bording a disney ride.
its eather that or when the champagne bottles pop in phillharmagic, whichever one sticks with me more, the answer is other.

i chose other. the sulfur water smell of the BTMR que and the que for test track. nothing like the smell of new tires.
199?-Off Site 2004-Grand Floridian 2005-Coronado & Off Site 2007-Caribbean Beach 2007 & 2009-POFQ 2008-All Star Movies 2010-planning now

I picked other because the first thing that popped into my head was POTC. It is the mixture of the cool dampness and that WDW water. But burning Rome in SE is a very very close seoncd.

I always like the smell when you get near the LAND pavillion and on the Living with the Land ride, very earthy wet soil-like smell...
-
Two that haven't been mentioned, that I thought of:
The faint smell of Roses in the coffin room in HM &
The greasy machine smell when you load in BTM
"Paging Mr. Morrow...Mr. Tom Morrow...."
Guest: (pointing to Donald Duck) Is that a Midget, or a child dressed up?
CM: Sir, that's just a very large duck.

Aromas!!
The damp, Pirate-y scent of Pirates of the Caribbean is unmistakeable!
The Bar-B-Que rib aroma in AK at Flame-Tree really gets our kids going. Every once in awhile they catch that scent somewhere else, and then cry DISNEY!!!
But the one that grabs me the most is the scent of the resort at POR. It was our very first distinct WDW exposure; the grassy, mulchy, piney woods scent mixed with the Sassagoula River and the smoky scent from the restaurants. VERY distinctive, and it beguiles every time we visit. !!SIGH!!
