You can add the DDP onto a package at any time of the year. They have offered Free Dining in the late summer/early fall for the last few years. Also, the DDP is changing somewhat come Jan 1. Check out the dining forum (where the mods will probably move this to) or Info Central for more info.

DDP is available year round. It is just under $40 per person for adults and ~$10 for kids. It is also offered for free during certain periods.

We just got back last week and were able to take advantage of the free dining. I certainly helped save some money. However, I would still pay for it if you plan on staying on property the whole time. The counter service meals ran about $12-15 a person and the table service was anywhere from $30 - $50 per person.

While the program is not as good for next year, you can still save some money and the peace of mind of not having to stress over what a meal is going to cost also has a real value.
