I wore a pair of pretty new Teva sandals(the leather kind) this past March and it was a great experience! I wore them with no socks and had absolutely no problem what so ever! I vote for the Tevas, but I do agree a worn pair of sneakers is a must!

New Balance for walking shoes and Birkenstock for sandals to change into upon returning 'home'. I also just got some made-to-measure orthotics which really helped my feet.

I agree with the posts here advising to take two pair of broken in walking shoes and one pair of very comfortable sandals for switching into upon returning to your room. I alternate walking shoes to give my feet a change from the stress only one pair of shoes would bring.
I also enjoy bringing water shoes for the water parks. The walking areas found through the water parks can get very hot on tender feet and if you have water shoes, you don't worry about losing your shoes when you go in the water.
I like the idea about bringing a foot massager!! We used to have oone called THE FOOT FIXER. Is that the one you were talking about?? I think I sold it at a yard sale. I guess I'll have to get another!!

I start the day with worn-in tennis shoes and those really short socks...less sock to get wet! and i end the day with flip-flops or sandals. it's amazing how good those sandals will feel after a long day of walking the parks.

I always wore a nice pair of running shoes. They are the most padded and the most comfortable, in my opinion.

If you are thinking of wearing sandals, I urge you to use caution. Before your trip, wear the sandals somewhere and do a lot of walking in them: like at the mall. You'd be surprised how even the most comfortable sandals can cause blisters after several straight hours of walking in them.

    My 2 cents.

    Question

We're off to WDW the end of June going into July (expecting to see rain daily, LOL). I was just looking into buying TEVAs for the whole family, figuring they'd be better the our sneaks on rainy days. On the website I like the "Circuit" style, described as their walking sandal. Does anyone know what stores carry TEVA? I put my zip code in the store locator box on the website and they can't come up with a dealer in my area. Considering I live in Northern New Jersey, (Mall Heaven) I find this hard to believe. Did try the Sports Authority, and while they had TEVA they didn't have the style I was looking for. Thanks!
