I'm not sure about the walk to MGM, but the walk to Epcot is nothing. If you walk about half way around the lake at the Boardwalk, you are at the World Showcase entrance to Epcot. This would probably be a little bit shorter than walking half way around the World Showcase inside Epcot.

I made the walk from the Yacht Club to Epcot in less than 10 minutes and from the Yacht Club to MGM in about 15 minutes.

The Boardwalk in is closer to Epcot and the walkway to MGM.

I'm not sure about the Boardwalk, but I can tell you from experience that making the walk from the Beach Club to Epcot's Pin Central carrying 3 heavy pin binders in 95 degree heat is NOT fun !

I walked several nights from International gateway to the Boardwalk it took 5 min. and it was a fun walk. Once you hit the Boardwalk there was a lot to look at..Try it at least once. The kids even had pins and everytime they ran I had to stop and find a fallen pin.
