It's been quite awhile since I've been on INTERCOT and I was just wondering why the rehab updates seem to stop in 2017. Did I miss something with this website?
We've always been volunteer run - unlike many of the other Disney sites out there that have full time people that do it. Reality is, much like you've been gone for a while, people move in and out of roles here and right now (in large part due to the domination of a few websites - facebook, instagram and twitter), our staff isn't as big as it once was. We don't have someone to fill the role of doing that at the moment.
In all honesty, we'll be working on pruning the site back a bit over the coming months. Its tough for anyone to stay on top of what goes on - let alone a volunteer driven effort.
We've had to in recent years focus more on Social media - and where we've made big gains there with live broadcasts from events, coverage of grand openings, monthly podcasts and even regular atmosphere posts from the parks, some things have suffered elsewhere as a result.
Simply put, we can't do it all - and now that Disney does a much better job with their website and apps than they did when we first started 22 years ago - there is less need for us to publish things like park hours and refurb schedules, when you can simply dial up the MDE app.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you're back and hope you will join in the discussion here and help spread the word that we still have a friendly community of helpful people.
Oh, and follow along on Social.
Sincerely,
John

Thank you for the quick reply. I've noticed some other Disney sites going in this same direction. I still love the forums though! Thanks for your hard work.

I always wanted to volunteer for icot, but I live in north florida and I have no idea if I would have the time to help monitor things. But I have been around for it seems like forever and that used to be one of my goals.
I still think you all do a great job! Thank you for everything you do!
