What’s your favorite candy? Strolling through the Downtown Disney District, you’ll see candy corn pumpkins in the Mickey Mouse planter, citrus candy pumpkins painted with glitter by Minnie Mouse, lollipop gourds near Daisy, jelly bean and jaw breaker pumpkins by Donald, striped candy pumpkins beside Goofy, and a big dog bowl of candy-coated chocolate pumpkins near Pluto! In all, there are 1,100 pumpkins made of foam, which took more than two months to hand paint.

And the real pumpkins are just as impressive. More than 2,500 pumpkins and 1,900 gourds from local growers can be seen in the surrounding planters that are unique in their colors, shapes and sizes. And the names are just as innovative: Pink Banana Squash, White Baby Boo, Cinderella Rouge, Speckled Hound, Warty Goblin, Warty Red Thing and Fairytale.

During Halloween Time at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks, you and your family can enjoy all of the “spooktacular” decor, themed treats and attractions, now through October 31. As the gateway to both parks, the Downtown Disney District is a great stop for shopping, dining options and entertainment, including a sighting of the SCAREolers, an a cappella group singing your Halloween favorites.
