Need help with alcoholic drinks

I thought they were providing 2 hard liquors and the drinks needed to be made from one of those but these recipes each have you providing the vodka/flavored vodka (along with other ingredients), I'm confused

I'll be an easy guest, nothing fancy, I'll have vodka with ice cubes please

We have to provide the alcohol, but we can only bring two hard liquors and the drinks need to be made from those. My daughter says she doesn't like those, but I think what she really doesn't like is them telling her what to do.
