The wedding planning has stalled on drinks that can be served at the reception. I don't really understand the ins and outs of alcohol and would like to get some impartial opinions.

My daughter was told at the initial meeting she could have two types of hard alcohols, four types of beers, champagne and wine, and four signature drinks (but no shots). They asked her to provide recipes for the four drinks that she wants, which she did. They rejected her recipes, stating that each signature drink could only have one alcohol in it. She says that is ridiculous. I'm trying to find a middle of the road.

This is one of the drinks she wanted

Are there really signature drinks with just one type of alcohol? Are there substitutions you can make so it only has one alcohol? Any other advice you think would be helpful is welcomed.
